that with a bad oline and Eli at the end of career and you have a recipe for disaster. This team some show good signs last year and some signs where improvement was needed, the did nothing to fix the an oline that was bad last year and is now considered atrocious. Something has to change, it is time to rebuild.
RE: Sure, let's overlook the core of young talent on the team
they will look like asses for not have doing that when they got rid of Coughlin. Shit had, run its course at that point. You cannot fire people every two years and look like you know what you are doing.
RE: Sure, let's overlook the core of young talent on the team
Let's focus on the OL only, especially when OLs around the league have generally sucked the past couple of years.
That makes sense.
I said this on the post-game thread: People keep insisting giving Reese credits for upgrading other parts of the team. Come on, how good is a mother if she teaches her kids six different languages and quantum mechanics but fails to provide them proper nutritions, for years?
Is Chris Mara still going to be in charge of player evaluations?
Forgot about the nepotism in organization. Yeah, if he's still president of player eval we are still going to suck. Someone said awhile ago that he had a scouting company but it shut down so he could work for the Giants. Shut down? More likely went out of business.......
With the one caveat being the leap of faith Reese took on OL continuity. If this season is an epic trainwreck, like 4/5 wins bad, someone's head has to roll. The old coach is gone. It's likely too soon for the new coach. Who does that leave?

And add McAdoo. Do it today! Make a point: demonstrated incompetence will not be tolerated on the NY Giants. Not doing this, going on as before, says the opposite to the team, to the coaching and admin staff, and to the fans and the League. Not doing it would be shameful.
Get to thinning out the rest of the coaching/player evaluation mess later. Then there are the incompetents wearing the Giants' uniform, too, of course, but leave that to a new head coach and a new general manager.

Again, I'd like to see it happen, BUT conducting a search for a new GM and head coach in an offseason is way too much change for the owner to handle.
Is Reese a Supreme Court Justice now?
That makes sense.
I have a nice well in my backyard, you free any evenings this week?
That makes sense.
It makes plenty of sense when the OLine has been a problem for much longer than one season.
Quote:
Still haven't gotten that idiot fired. Gonna find a wishing well and dump $1,000 in pennies down it next.....
If I thought for a second it would help improve the odds of his firing by even 1% I'd empty my 5 gallon drum of loose change into your well.

Kind of like the year with the Suerbowl clock

Being the Giants GM is a nice gig.
