The start of this year is similar to 2007

Sec 103 : 9/19/2017 7:11 am
and it will continue down this path on Sunday when we fall behind the Iggles by halftime..... Went down to FedEx with a couple buddies back in 2007 and the Jints pulled out a late miracle with a hell of a goal line stand. Could be that we are in for one of those years, and then again, I could be going down to Tampa with those same buddies and staring at an 0-4 team... We will bring our "voodoo" to Tampa and maybe return with a 1-3 record... This "O" looks so lost.

You people and these god damn correlations to fucking 2007, 2011, 1986....
No correalation

at all.... Just started the same, could be we go 0-6... And likely given the circumstances.
Looks more like 1976.

the Giants O looked great against the Cowboys and pretty good vs Packers. It was the defense that needed to play some catch up. Nothing about this offense gives me any confidence they will come out of their slump.
yeah just because this or that happened in year 2450 bc

it'll definitely happen now!! oh boy!!
Last night's performance reminded me of those games the Giants

Played in the Yale Bowl in the 70's
When I see threads like this, I begin to understand why

some of my friends think Giants fans are insufferable.
The offensive line in 2017 isn't worthy of holding

It is similar

both were NFL seasons, and the Giants lost their first two football games in each. Going beyond that, other than their uniforms looking the same and having the same QB there's little else.

Any post (or sentence, for that matter) that starts with "you people" is almost guaranteed to be a doozy.

for every 2007 theres 10,000 examples of 0-2 teams simply sucking.
Not really similar

In 07 we knew the Giants could move the ball, and players were adjusting to a new defense

This offense has been in place a while now. There have been 8 games in a row without scoring 20

Don t agree with your premise
And people seem to forget

we started out 2007 against two teams that finished 26-6 that year and took the top two seeds in the NFC.

Somehow i dont think this year's Cowboys or Lions will dominate the league like that.

I have never been so sure this early in the season that a Giant team has absolutely zero chance of making something out of the season than I am right now. This team is fatally flawed at the 2nd worst possible position. And it's killing the most important position. And there's no fixing it. Combine all that with the schedule, especially the first half, we are shot. This team has 4-12 written all over it.
Thats a little drastic
MetsAreBack : 9/19/2017 8:30 am : link
the only way we're going 4-12 is if Eli gets hurt in the first half of the year. The defense is too good and our passing attack will eventually show a heartbeat.

MAB, other than the Charger game, do you realistically see a win before the bye? @ Philly, @ Tampa, @ Denver, Seattle. Can they win those games? Sure, it's the NFL. But watching what we saw last night, I can't realistically see wins in those games. Even the Charger game is a toss up. We could easily be 1-6 at the bye.

At the rate this offensive line is going, the injury to Eli may happen sooner rather than later with some of the hits he is taking and his inability to escape.
