Paul Perkins Injured: Ribs

Mr. Nickels : 9/19/2017 9:57 am
9/19:Following a 24-10 defeat to the Detroit Lions, New York Giants running back Paul Perkins exited MetLife Stadium sporting an evident wrap around his rib region. Perkins concluded the contest with 10 yards on seven carries, in another underwhelming G-Men offensive collapse. 25-year-old back Orleans Darkwa will benefit slightly depending on the severity of Perkins’ health moving forward; however, minimal information has surfaced regarding the injury. For now, both backs are tremendously unappealing fantasy options given the current state of the Giants’ offensive line.--Michael

not surprised. He took a beating. Everybody says he has no vision, but he had plenty last year, along with his quick feet. The OL simply isn't opening many holes. Darkwa has a little more success because he's a more physical runner.
This gives Gallman opportunity

to at least get some live fire reps and optimistically show what he can contribute to a pathetic running game.
Well,

It looks like Darkwa is the starter....question is, can he handle the reps? Then a rookie is next up? Vereen looks like a shell of the player that was on the Pats....

We needed a veteran presence on this team, but this OL is making it a moot point at this stage of the game....
Good. Perkins sucks.

Darkwa should start and we should get us a look at Gallman see if he is any good.
He looks

horrible. Every team we play has better backs on the roster.
Injury to RB

to be followed by one for Darkwa, Vereen, then Gallman.
If we have one on PS: stay healthy! You will start before the season ends.
Meh. No biggie.

.
Our 3 RBs got a total of 55 yards on 16 carries

Who did well? No one did. How can you tell if any of our backs are good, or who is better, behind this line. Until the OL is fixed we don't know. The coaches see more in practice so they have a better feel.
