Ok here's a serious thought - Duane Brown from the Texans

3x Pro Bowl, one time All Pro. 1st rd pick out of VT. He was hurt early last season but then played the last 12-13 games well. He's holding out from the Texans because he wants more of his contract guaranteed. He could come here and immediately plug in. Yes he's 32, but bfd. He can play and if he lasts 2 years its worth it. A line of Brown-Flowers-RB-Jerry-Pugh sounds much better. I'm sure we could have something of interest to trade with the Texans (hell almost anything).

and they are desperate for a TE after they lost 3 in week 1 (CJ Fiedorowicz is on IR). I would offer Adams and a pick for Brown.

Their line is no great shakes. They have the leverage right now, not much Brown can do but sit.

I'd be interested to see if he can play OG. If we were able to get a LT and Flowers could play OG, we'd be much better off.

not trading for Brown, Staley, or Thomas. He also hasn't played at all this year, and will need several weeks at least to get comfortable doing so.

its come to this... everyone could see what a disaster this was shaping up to be. I understand that its impossible to address every area on the team in one offseason, but this was pure neglect. They didnt bring in quality competition at the position of greatest need plain and simple.
