Old Man...that was a much truer statement. SMorgan must be a youngster. I went through stretches with Morton, Goldstein, Pisarcik, Brunner, Brown, Kannell....am I missing anyone?
How people think we could switch out a QB and get a different

The former Pitt duo of Tommy Maddox and Kent Graham.
and his o-line had about 50 holding penalties. He's judt a more mobile QB.
and he threw for a whopping 122 yards and 14 points (17 if you count hte Eli Int that they didn't move the ball after and kicked a FG). He didn't do much.

Hit how many sacks? His team ran for how many yards? Not the same story at all.
The offense is Eli or nothing. There's no run game or pass protection.
Well he escaped a lot of sacks and hits.
I don't think you realize how that uplifts a team. And perhaps gets the running game going and gives them rhythm.
Think of our 2011 playoff game versus the Falcons. Offense looked like sh*t in the first quarter. Remember what sparked it? Eli avoiding the sack on 3rd and 2 and scampering for 14yrds and a first down. All of a sudden we got in a rhythm running and throwing.
You can't look at the overall running stats and hits and declare that to be the difference -- football doesn't work like that. The D played great early on but Stafford is playing with great confidence and at a high level. He moved around enough to make plays and then hit on the ones available. Eventually, the run game opened up.
The D played well last week too but when Dak keeps escaping and hitting little 8-10yrd pass plays, it demoralizes you after a while and it lifted the Cowboys. Momentum is huge in football and can change the tide for long periods.

I wish we had the BROWNS offensive line.
