What game will be the Giants first win this year?

superspynyg : 9/19/2017 12:15 pm
The next 5 games
@ Eagles
@ Bucs
Vs Chargers
@ Broncos
vs Seahawks

I think that Chargers will be the first win. I just don't see us going into Philly and Tampa and winning.

2-6 in the first 8 game. If the Seahawks keep playing like they are.
That Seahawks game...

Probably the Chargers game.
Eagles

I'm a fanatical fan what can I say. Our D dominates win a close one by 2 or 3 points.
Look at the whole schedule!
JohnB : 9/19/2017 12:25 pm : link
If the team stays at this level, they will not win 5 games. 4-12, 3-13. wow.
Philly
nybeast : 9/19/2017 12:25 pm : link
We will beat the Eagles. I think this is actually all healthy for the team, because there was a lot of unhealthy hubris I was observing with this team in the offseason. They were a bit too high on themselves thinking they would just pickup from last year without putting in the work. As Coughlin has said, "no toughness, no championship." This team needs adversity and they need to develop the necessary grit to reach that championship level. There's been too much talk, too much hype (especially on social media) and premature celebration and not enough work!

The Giants and Eli especially operate best with their backs against the wall. I see a win in Philly to get us rolling again.
If we lose to the Eagles,
Doomster : 9/19/2017 12:31 pm : link
0-7 at the bye is a possibility....and if that happens, you are looking at a 2-3 win season.....

I am not saying that is going to happen, but I wouldn't be shocked if it did....

You have to think, that these guys must have some pride left in them....

But, it's just like the Giants, who look like they have no hope of winning in Philly, somehow come up with a win.....where have we seen games like that in the past? Oh, like an undefeated Elway team facing the likes of Kent Graham....it happens...is it likely to happen in Philly? No....but as they say, on any Sunday in the NFL....

The Giants have to start somewhere, and Philadelphia would be a good place to do so....maybe it's a revamped OL that changes things......maybe OBj, is finally ready to play this week.....maybe the Eagles just fall flat on their face....

Whatever it takes....this team needs a win and it needs it bad......
there's no doubt in my mind
gidiefor : Mod : 9/19/2017 12:32 pm : link
that if they keep playing the way they've been playing -- those are all losses

Agreed, they will beat the Eagles. But they need a healthy Odell and they need Jenkins and Goodson back in the lineup.
I have been a fan since 1955 and have always believed the Giants
SterlingArcher : 9/19/2017 12:35 pm : link
could win any game they played, but after these first two weeks it just seems hopeless. Go back to the days of Rod Rust and John McVay (sp), was there a darker period in Giants? Now it seems like we have returned to those disastrous years. I will as always, continue to be a fan of my beloved Giants, hopefully they can get a few wins this year.

I'm as optimistic Giants fan there is, but zero shot they beat the Eagles next Sunday.

The Chiefs have a good O-Line and they swarmed Smith regularly.

that's right, this week. I'm not ready to give up on them. C'mon Giants!
damn....I want to say Eagles
AnnapolisMike : 9/19/2017 12:38 pm : link
They are gonna be desperate. Win and they are at worst one game out of first....at best tied.

They have to figure SOMETHING OUT. They are not going to score 78 total points this season. That is what they are on pace for.

Easy!

The bye week!!
We don't play, so we don't lose; if we didn't lose, then we won!
The second win? Now THAT'S a tough one.
Told you it was easy!
Easily the Eagles
beatrixkiddo : 9/19/2017 12:43 pm : link
You know Why?

Cause the team will do just enough to re-spark confidence in them to let all the fans down the next week. Its the Giants way.
no way we beat the Eagles
Giants86 : 9/19/2017 12:54 pm : link
this Sunday. I would be shocked. We can't run the ball and can't block, its football, without those components its virtually impossible to win. I think we will beat the Chargers but if we don't its gonna be a very long slide this year....
I think they'll surprise this weekend
jcn56 : 9/19/2017 12:55 pm : link
depends on what OBJ's outcome is - does he feel OK after going last night and working into a short week? Or does he remain limited?

Last night, he was a glorified decoy. Will he be more on Sunday?

Flowers going to be able to block Joey Bosa?
The bar is set as low...

....as it was before Parcells arrived. We had a savior back then coupled with George Young being hired. Nobody will save them now. I see a 3-13 season until Eli sits the bench. He's useless with the current situation on the OL. Hopefully there is a rift growing between Eli and McAdon't. I'd like to see him sit Eli and see what happens.

Everyone seems to forget that the Giants started 2007, 0-2. That was another team that woefully underperformed early and there was serious questions about the defense at the time. That team was throttled at home by the Green Bay Packers and were facing 0-3 with a road trip to Washington. In that game against the Redskins, the Giants defense had a goal line stand that woke them up and the rest is history. The Giants went on to go undefeated on the road and beat the undefeated New England Patriots. To quote the great Michael Strahan, "Believe it and it will happen!"

This is something I've considered every time the Giants perform below expectations (obviously, I've had several opportunities to make this consideration). But you know, there's a difference between being humbled and being productively humbled. Do the Giants as an organization know what to do when confronted by evidence that things aren't what they were thought to be? It sure doesn't seem like that's a kind of examination they excel at.

unlikely.....
every NFL game is different....
BillKo : 9/19/2017 2:01 pm : link
turnovers, crazy plays....we'll probably win a game that will surprise us but I can see us winning more than 5 or 6 at this point given the performance.

The coach has to make a change on the OL, and also the play calling............
Who knows
Route 9 : 9/19/2017 3:15 pm : link
I certainly don't have any clue
After McAdoo's presser
gmenatlarge : 9/19/2017 6:46 pm : link
today indicating no change on the O-line I don't have much hope for this sorry offense so they might have to wait till they play the redskins.
