Francesa has announced that it now official, and he will still be leaving WFAN on 12/15, as originally planned.
but there's no question that whatever replaces him is going to be a lot worse and a lot more typical, garden-variety 4 hours of boring sports-related droning.
Mike has it and if WFAN and its new ownership doesn't want to pony up or change his schedule, he's done.
Either way, I'd be surprised if Chernoff isn't gone in 2018 as well. this has been botched as badly as Carson/Leno/Letterman.
Kind of shows a certain level of uselessness if you haven't got a plan for an outgoing star when his retirement was communicated years in advance. Not sure why Chernoff deserves a paycheck if he can't even handle this. That Chris Christie was even suggested as a potential candidate tells me the guy has zero ideas.
