Moving the Chains just killed Flowers

PatersonPlank : 9/19/2017 4:00 pm
Spent like 10 minutes on Flowers and Mac. Major points were:

- Flowers isn't any good. The Giants were trying to help him out through either play calling or double team, but the Lions weren't having any of it. They knew what they were doing and told Soggy to just keep on Flowers. A weak link that everyone knows about.
- Putting a TE next to him won't matter anyway. That just means the D can double OBJ, which hurts just as much, or do other schemes to blow up the offense (won't bother listing them here). One example was they sent Ziggy inside which nullified the double team.
- Said Mac was wrong to call out Eli. They fear Mac has lost the offense already and losing Eli would be the final blow.
- Said of all the 0-2 teams the Giants offense showed the least desire, again pointing to Mac. Seemed to just be going through the motions

I think these guys know their stuff, and
I agree with all this 100%. Mac may lose the offense, if he already hasn't.
I don't know anything about this guy . . . .

named Soggy, but Ansah on Flowers qualified as abuse.

Ha ha, stupid spellchecker.
Spags is the unquestioned leader of that defense

And he's the DC. McAdoo is the head coach and doesn't seem to have a good rapport with the offense, and has installed an offense that is not working, across parts of two seasons.

At some point, it must be painfully obvious to Mara where the problem lies.
Pat Kirwan knows his stuff

and has been pro Giants in past so if he is calling them, out it is legit. No offense but something is clearly wrong here. Mac and his use of people is confusing at best and this idea his offenses were great as the Giants O. Coordinator is overblown.

First off the problem we have now running the ball and short yardage, was there when he was the O.C. too. The fact that Eli's numbers were better is more likely due to our Oline was a bit better (Give me Kevin Boothe over John Jerry any day) and we trailed a lot so we were passing a ton.

When the team had to make plays, convert 3rd downs and or control or run out the clock, we couldn't do it. Nothing has changed except our defense is better and our Oline is worse. We still can't run, can't play power and cannot control the clock or the game.
