Successful businesses put people in position to succeed. They don t set them up for failure by placing them in the wrong position
According to Francesca during the game one of his NFL sources messaged him, that the Giants were the only team in the NFL that believed Flowers was equipped to play left tackle in the NFL
After watching him struggle with "technique" for more than an adequate amount of time to understand they were wrong in their assessment of his abilities, they have stubbornly refused to admit their mistake and reassign him to where his skill set gives him a better chance for success; the consensus seems to be any of the other positions on the line except center.
This mess is squarely on the people who drafted him for left tackle, on those who had no back up plan in place for this season, and on coaches who don t have the guts to make the sweeping changes on the line that would get him off that spot.
But no, the player isn't faultless for playing badly.
But he's not good. And I don't think we're helping him mentally by throwing him out there each week to get destroyed. I appreciate his effort & all, but he just isn't a starting LT in this league.
But no, the player isn't faultless for playing badly.
Yes, he is at fault for playing poorly but this little experiment has gone on long enough. He has basically shown what he is. It WAS his fault but now if we keep putting him out there it is on the coaches and GM.
Problem is, there's no one to replace him if he's moved or benched.
I don't care how young or old he is. He's uncoordinated and, apparently, uncoachable.
Thank you Jerry Fucking Reese.
Joe Thomas has put together a hall of fame career on offensive lines that were bottom of the barrel. And he wouldn't make this offense substantially better given the level of execution across the whole line and frankly every other position group.
That being said I think the op is right about one thing. The shortest path to good football is to start moving players into positions that fit their skill set and then design the rest of the offense around the perceived capabilities of that reshuffle. Otherwise might as well start looking to next years draft.
This is a talented roster with Eli still capable of playing well. Time for Reese to move. Send a 2nd rounder and go get Staley, Duane Brown, Thomas or Cody Glenn. Can't let this ruin the entire season.
Lmao, I was going to find this pic to post but you beat me to it.
Lol
They kind of remind me of some of the kids I knew in Jr High.
You re not in Jr High are you?
Is it the coaching? Or more the denial by Reese and company things will get better. I cannot believe every single guy on that line can be that bad. Together they are terrible and nothing seems to be getting better. So it brings into question the coaching.
Having said that it has been a very predictable offense and if so does it make it that much more difficult to block because the defenses have no fear of the offense and attack at will.
Seems like Eric may have this condition, and that it may be contagious, spreading to Jerry, Hart and Richboy as well.
"shit, you mean that guy plans to touch me? after the snap I better quickly move back and out of his way, ech, I hate being touched, people are dirty!, nasty!"
either that, or they are being carefully coached up to get out of peoples ways.
or maybe both.
