That never calls two run plays in a row? How the hell can a RB or OL get any rhythm.
Thats definitely an issue, but when you look at the fact that they've both had the same number of carries and Perkins ypc is only 1.9, compared to Darkwa's ypc of 5.2 - something is clearly wrong with Perkins.
when the opposing team is in the backfield when you are handed the ball. Plus, its not like Darkwa is anything special. But to the greater point, RB is another one of those positions that Jerry R. refuses to spend a premium pick on until he is backed into a corner and has no choice.

Not necessarily. They stupidly mostly run Perkins out of the shotgun. They
Don’t do that with Darkwa
IMO, the only reason Darkwa or Vareen have more yards per carry Â
is because they are in on passing situations where the D isn't looking for it, or at least willing to give up some yards because its 3rd ans 15. Perkins is being run when its 1st and 2nd down, on plays where the D is looking run and ready.
This is all on the OL. We say Perkins run well last year, any back needs holes.
OL can't run block. What do you expect? Darkwa picks up a few more yards because he is more of a bruising runner, but there are few holes. Perkins is not that type of runner. He is also not a breakaway back. He has shifty feet and excellent vision. We saw a lot of that last year when he made a lot of people miss. Way too much criticism of Perkins IMO.
Perk, his YPC is certainly not a result of runs on passing downs. Perk simply isn't running with any sort of physicality at all. As soon as there's contact, his legs/feet stop moving.
Like Pat Traina tweeted this morning, the bigger question is why on Earth Coach Mac refuses to use Darkwa more when he's clearly playing better?
Has to be done to get these guys in some type of rhythm. Run and I formation or 2 TE sets. You can't win in the NFL when you are not getting any type of production from your starting RB.
or Perkins lack of speed,or vision, but he cuts everything inside.
There were several times Sunday night where he should have bounced the run outside the tackle, but stubbornly turned it in

That's bullshit. Darkwa's run was on first and 10. I'm taking the position that Darkwa is the long-term answer. However , it's obvious that Perkins is utterly useless out there. I mentioned during the summer that both Perkins and Shepard appeared slow, tentative and highly uncompetitive . I will stand by those comments , especially for Perkins .
cause im over him, but he once in awhile takes shots at premium positions david wilson? number one. He has tried at oline rb, he just sucks at it. Hes good at wr though. when we get a real gm, he can stay on as advisory capacity for drafting wr
NEVER liked Perkins, NEVER! I've watched enough football in my life to see that this guy can't hit the hole fast enough! He looks slow and runs uphill. Total wasted draft choice and I'd be SHOCKED if he's on this team next year.
People were talking about earlier in the year like he was Â
Going to be a great back. He never ran the ball well enough to ever be handed the job. There was never any real competition or thought of drafting a real stud RB. We do not have a first string starting RB on this roster but I forgot this is the WCO where you get first downs with short passes. Sometimes I wonder how people can make claims about greatness after an 11 yard run.

He cant hit the hole.
They should start Darkwa he is at least trying to play physical.
They should not use Gallman until the line is more cohesive
He would do well with a fullback in the backfield.. and better blocking..
The Giants dont open holes.. so his ability is limited

Perkins isn't doing the same, he looks slow and indecisive out there.
