"Anthonys camp is cautiously optimistic that a deal will be struck before Monday, and trying not to think about the potential media circus that will take place if Carmelo is still with the Knicks. Two weeks ago, Carmelos wife, La La, said the family thought a trade would have been completed by now.
Mentally, Carmelo and his family have moved on to Houston. Reality is another story. Hopefully, Mills and Perry will have the right answers when they address the media on Friday because the Carmelo issue isnt going away until he goes away."
(Article reads as total BS as he also says "The problem, however, is that Carmelo has limited his trade list to one team, the Rockets. So, unless Houston can find someone to take Ryan Andersons contract (hes owed over $60M over the next three seasons), Carmelo is stuck in limbo."

Portland trade makes sense or a trade to okc sending kanter to Milwaukee, expiring Monroe to Knicks, knicks get some young players, draft picks and expirings. I would also take kanter with the thought that he is more then likely to opt out after this year.

Candidates for 2 way spot:
Kornet likely gets one spot
Chasson Randle vs. Xavier Rather Mayes probably gets the other
I don't think Hayes or Artis have a real shot
Yup. Period. The end.
I think he's the more interesting developmental prospect.

Unless of course the knicks get back something halfway decent.
6'7" and well developed NBA ready body.
Athletic (not necessarily a sky-walker, but very good end to end speed).
Competes hard, especially on the glass.
I am not saying he's = Klay Thompson. That is far too lofty. But he does have skill-set that suggests he models his game after KT.

Yes, of course. I'd be very surprised if Houston ends up blinking and arranging a good deal for the Knicks before the season though
I wouldn't be surprised if Isolas story was planted in some way by Melo's "camp" to try and grease the wheels
Trade deadline to the Rockets or somewhere else Melo agrees to probably more likely

Yup.
Knicks president Steve Mills said that he expects Carmelo Anthony to be with the team on Monday for Media Day and Tuesday for the start of training camp.
Both Melo and the Knicks organization would prefer to part ways, but Anthony has a no-trade clause and the team is not willing to take back an unfavorable contract in any deal. Thus, it appears that Melo will start the season in New York. The persistent rumors may calm down a bit now that training camp is upon us. Anthony averaged 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 3-pointers last season. Expect him to post similar numbers for the Knicks in 2017-18.
Knicks are playing hardball at this point. Glad to see they aren't catering to this loser. It's under our terms, or you will be back in the same situation you've been in. Open up the list to more teams, not just to play with your buddies.
@jasonrmcintyre
Carmelo Anthony's people are trying a Hail Mary attempt to get him to Houston (Knicks won't do it) ... before he accepts a deal to Portland
this guy is not Woj or anyone else with a history of breaking NBA stuff, but he's not a nobody either.
he is mad because he said the knicks were on the 2 yard line and then the knicks said no deal...

hasnt this been said by a couple players about stephen a? i believe durant called him out and i also believe melo did as well...
stephen a was close to iverson he had sources in phikky and i think wade leaked thr miami thing to him but other than thag i rrally dont think many pkayers talk to him
if he's ultimately getting traded, it's in everyone's (his, Knicks, acquiring team) best interest if it happens before camp starts.
