Why are we 7 point underdogs? Seems high to me

Their D line is no joke. Plus they always play us tough, its their home opener also.

I would be highly surprised if we even keep this one close. Just a poor matchup for us at this time.

We are now under-reporting injuries. Thats a couple points.

And the Eagles are rightfully perceived as the better team. I wouldn't be surprised to see the line drift higher.

I almost expect a defensive score as well with the amount of pressure on Eli every week. It almost happened this past week and it seems to happen more often against the Eagles anyway.

we've lost by 14 or more in the only two games we've played, which is to say we're barely competitive. we've had large audiences for both embarrassments. now we're on the road against a team that has owned us historically. 7 is low.

, I think 7 is its outer limits. Each week, I play a game with myself to see what I think the line should be versus what it actually is. Usually, I am within a half a point, I said 4.5, and I think that's where the line should be. I don't think the Giants are going to win the game, but I wouldn't be that surprised if they did. Plus, the guy who use to kill us for Philly with sacks is no longer there. The Eagles have a good front 7, they don't have a great front 7. They have no secondary besides Jenkins available this week, and they have been decent but not anything near great in the first two weeks. I think their home opener will be cancelled out by the desperation we will have. With all that said, I think we lose, but 7 given our defense (especially if Jenkins can go--haven't look at practice report for today) is really high, imo. But that's why they play the games.

I'd take the Eagles and 7.

I wouldn't take the Giants and anything less than 18 points.

It's gonna take one bad turnover on the Giants side of the field to completely allow Philly to just takeover the game and blow us out.

season games? The shegals have had the shit factor on the Giants for a long time, I can see their defense getting at least a pick 6. So 7 point road dog seems reasonable.

It can be argued that both of their starting tackles and their starting RB would not start for another team in the NFL.

It could even be argued that their starting LT is not an NFL caliber player who is only playing LT because he is a high draft pick that management won't admit sucks

It could happen. Man, I really hope so. Lots of offseason opinions have changed in the past 12 days or so. I really thought we'd beat Dallas in the opener and I thought we'd be 2-0 going into this game. I thought we would struggle in Philly even though I thought Dallas was a better team than Philly. I just didn't like the matchup.

I just really didn't think Dallas was going to hold us to 3 and that if we kept Detroit from scoring on offense in the second half that we would lose.

All that means is that I've already been eating crow. I'm not enjoying it. Another serving on Sunday would taste much better, because I'm not expecting a win.

to lose this game by AT LEAST two scores, if not more. I will not be surprised if we get blown out by something like 27-6. And it will only be that close because of heroic play by the defense.

The point spread is not an indication of which team Vegas think is the better team and by how much. It's simply an attempt to induce wagered money to be evenly split between the two teams. If this happens, Vegas wins no matter wins. If they fail, and the wrong team wins, Vegas could lose money.

I don’t ever bet on the Giants - I can’t be objective with Big Blue - but this looks low to me as I see no way the Giants avoid a massive blowout loss. I’m not sure there’s any team in the NFL the Giants could play on Sunday and cover +7. That’s how bad this team seems to me.
