Hey there our compressor last night made some crazy noises and ultimately the fridge started leaking drops of water out of the back. It may have been a fluke problem but I'm not risking it. I've wanted a garage fridge for some time.
Ultimately we're looking for a stainless true counter depth fridge - quality item. We're going to redo the rest of the kitchen inside 2 years after we get all the windows replaced.
Any recs would be appreciated. We cook and entertain so a thin fridge that delivers the goods with young kids is what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.
Otherwise I'd go with a built in fridge it's a nicer look for not much more money.
We have a corporate discount with GE so we settled on the Profile with the French doors. Went and saw it tonight and the unit feels sturdy enough although the freezer shelving felt a tad flimsy.
Best fridge. - ( New Window )

Agree with aimrocky on the GE Profile French door bottom freezer. We had all GE appliances when we built our home 20 years ago and they were so bad we swore we wouldn't buy GE again. But the appliance dealer said this GE refrig was highest rated and had the fewest number of repair calls with LG being a close second.
Dimensions were virtually identical to our 25 cu fter and it is 28 cu fter. Since my wife loves the thing, it must be pretty good.
Only thing I don't like is having to open both door to access the deli drawer. It has limited on the door storage, but it has storage on both with the left door holding the water/ice dispenser.
Stay away from Samsung appliances, imo. Don't know about the other South Korean brand, LG.
