I wouldn't mind Mike Matheny himself though I think he's under contract for a few more years, but I have a feeling this will be someone controllable by the FO.
Also of note, since there was some speculation about a role change, I read Sandy will be back as Mets GM next year.

all these years i had no idea fluent meant "categorically allergic to"
Really bizarre example for Ackert to use.
I read he's going to retire after the season, but haven't seen anything definite.
I'm not one who puts a lot of stock into W/L impact of managers, I've heard it's 5 games. This year that's basically the difference between a top 5 pick or not, but some years 5 games is the difference between playoffs or not.

was it Ackert who used Matheny or the Mets source? It's not clear.

The belief is they will let him leave on his own terms ie retire. They haven't approached him with a deal.
I'm not a big Acta fan either. I know he didn't have blockbuster teams in his two managerial stints but memory serves me he was roundly criticized and pretty terrible.
I think a front office refresh is needed however. But then again so is an ownership change.
Manager with no experience who can be a puppet for the front office. Lets call it an analytic choice and use a successful hire in that mold (not analytic but no experience) as an example.

Ricco was here with Acta and the FO is said to be high on him so I have to assume thats from Ricco
I think youre missing the news in that statement... of the type Sandy will apparently consider...

Has no connections to this front office. He was a Minaya guy.

That's the only thing I can think of. Perhaps Jeff Wilpon. My guess is Ricco has a strong shot of being next GM. He's a Wilpon guy. Unfortunately I think that's a recipe for disaster.
Matheny is a La Russa disciple. Don't know how anyone would report him as an analytics guy. I'm sure he uses them a bit but he's a guy who plays a little unconventional and contrarian in managing the roster and game to game tactics and plays gut instincts on his moves in game.
-Heyman says there is mutual interest with Todd Frazier but the Wright situation would have to be clear.
We all know the truth was Bay was much cheaper, though the Bay HR #'s always make for a good chuckle in Mets twitter etc. Classic.
Oh do shut up, Randal
Or an abacus.
Its likely to be him too. Because hell be cheap

Wakamatsu was interviewed when they hired TC so it wouldn't be a shock.

I find her to be a hack.

It's as if the FO saw your complaint and acted on it
30 pitchers and only 3 are lefties

I have the power!
Several more lefties if you look in the rehab section:
Kay
Szapucki
Taylor
Huertas
Roseboom
Davis

Dunns issue is shoulder not elbow
Collins likes veterans. I think I've developed early onset carpal tunnel syndrome from BBI rants on Terry Collins' lineup decisions over the years.
Reyes has actually been at SS almost every day until today (Rosario finally returns). Cecchini has a had a rough year. Guys like Evans might have surpassed him and that's a sad thought.

I think we bring in one more infielder so that would leave TJ Rivera, Flores, ect. still as decent fallback options there.
Heck, maybe they even Reyes is brought back, although I hear it's a long shot.
lol.
Everyone will bitch that it's the same team but offense wasn't the problem this year until we traded everyone away.
I still like the idea of bringing in Moose for 15-18 per (Id view it sort of like a second tier Granderson signing from 4 years ago) but that's likely not happening.
We miss you Daniel!
