There is a lot of flatulence and LCD/ESPN type of talk on this board lately.
What team has done better lately?
The Eagles - they havnt won nuttin...
The Falcons, the Lions, the Cardinals?
Bills, Jets,
Certainly not the Cowboys, they have not done anything since the mid 90's...
The Redskins?
Phillip Rivers?
Dolphins? No SB's since days of Csonka
Given the history of the Vikes they have not won anything...
and on and on...
Even the Packers only won one and thats with all of the media kissing Aarons tuchas. Giants beat them when they were 15-1.
Only Pats and maybe Pitts...Although Ben R. would not have survived here in NY give all his women troubles.
Seattle on boarder but threw away a SB victory.
Colts were always way overrated.
49ers? They are the ones that wasted all of those extra draft picks a few years ago.
Your thoughts please.
But on paper, this is one of the most talented teams we've ever had and one significant weakness that has been glaring since 2010 still hasn't been resolved and it's severely limiting what could've been a very special season.
The Giants ran off one HC because he could not sustain success. I am trying to give McAdoo a chance but the inability (by him and the FO) to make in-season adjustments is frustrating.
TC was stubborn in a lot of ways, but this guy is just maddening.
When the team looks this bad, they deserve to get criticized.
I don't think winning a couple of Super Bowls suddenly means that nothing that happens years later should ever matter.
You can appreciate the franchise and be grateful for those years and still be unhappy with the way the team is playing 5 years later.

It's tough. But the point MAY be, at LEAST we have recent success, relatively, to ease our pain.
Which is different than many of the scenarios mentioned.
Do many of you have OBJ in your fantasy league? Is that the issue?
What we've seen through 2 games this year has been fucking EMBARRASSING.
It's one thing to be rebuilding and deal with those bumps and bruises - but this was billed as a team that was supposed to contend. They won 11 games last year and were supposed to build off it.
They look terrible. But we can't say anything about it since they won the Super Bowl 5 years ago?
Alright.
Agree. This is my biggest problem and having to stay up for night games didn't help either.

The season still can be special..the only thing this team is guaranteed not to do is go 15-1.Other than that they can go 0-16 or they could go 14-2,as you said there is a lot of talent on this team and sooner or later it is going to rise up let's hope it starts this weekend.
Remember, they didn't make the playoffs for 16 years, 1964-1980. My first decade as a fan, the team was a joke. They almost never had a winning record or even a 500 record. They'd occasionally seem to turn up a player (John Hicks!) and then he'd implode. Even when they started to turn the corner under Perkins, things were uneven. Parcells nearly got himself fired. Fortunately Howard Schnellenberger wasn't available.
But then I got to see them in five Super Bowls and win four, including one of the great upsets in NFL history. I gotta tellya, having been through the bad made me appreciate the good.
So the three crummy seasons that ended TC's run, bad as they were, seem pretty endurable to me. The Giants weren't 2-14. I've seen 2 and 3-win seasons, and this ain't that. The crummy loss in Green Bay last year? At least it was a playoff loss. It's not that this crummy football is okay, it's that I've seen worse. A LOT worse.
