in his postgame press conference even more ridiculous. You give Eli virtually no chance to win with the play schemes/play calling and then you throw him under the bus when the inevitable failure occurs? He will lose the team with a bad performance in Philly
It's now undeniable that McAdoo's offensive acumen
I know we can't run the ball, but we have to somehow figure out a way to be better at it. I'm sorry if Shep or Engram or Marshall need to sit out some plays, but we need Ellison, definitely, and maybe the FB, on the field so that there's at least the threat of a competent run.
Some of those plays there were guys that had a step or two, or guys coming into an opening in the zone. Look at the last play he highlighted - Shepard was in the seam between the LB and deep safety - he even raised his hand because he knew he was open.
I know that it's hard to make plays downfield when you face two-deep looks, but sometimes you have to try anyway. Good things can happen when your playmakers downfield are given a chance. It's called being aggressive. What we see is a conservative approach to the passing game, allowing the defense to dictate to the offense like a game of Mother May I: "Mother May I pass the ball downfield?" "Yes, you may as long as it's short of the sticks."
is exactly what I and so many other people have been saying, namely that not being able to run the ball and handle a four man rush results in a lot of cover 2 looks that are hard to throw against. Add in Eli's immobility, and sacks and hits are inevitable.
This is why teams like the Eagles with depleted secondaries don't have to fear us. What they don't have in quality in their defensive backfield they can make up for with quantity. The Eagles also have a terrific DL. They will just drop six or seven into coverage most plays, confident that their front four can get to Eli and stop the run by themselves.
Reese should have fixed the OL before adding a seam stretching TE like Engram. Adding Whitworth and Robinson, and moving Flowers to guard would have done wonders for our OL, running game, and Eli. We'd be seeing a lot fewer cover 2 looks.

His comments on Eli were about a delay of game penalty. Nothing more than that. A single delay of game penalty.
Try reading the actual transcript and/or watching the press conference before you decide to weigh in on what McAdoo said.
Even with the safeties 20 yards back. Can't pass protect and have a statue for a quarterback. recipe for failure. If we don't start having some success running the ball we won't win more then 5 games. We need the opposing safeties involved in stopping our running game in order to hit some big play in the air. How management didn't see this after the same problem in the inability to score last year is beyond me?
Low scoring game. Defense plays well and offensive woes continue.Special teams continue to play poorly. It will be interesting to see what McAdoo does this week and if the team responds.
I thought the write up was a good one .
This offense with no run game will continue to struggle
because they can't get into any rythem .
Have to change the play calling maybe Mac will have more
time to look at the mess he has .
McAdoo is not what Mara and Tisch thought they were getting. If this is what Eli has been facing all this time then where are the adjustments. This is what the fans were sold. A young innovative offensive mind to propel this offense. Well, I think McAdoo needs to by a new propeller. Cause this ship is dead in the water.
''This is proof positive

ESPECIALLY not 3 v 5... SMH
Gotta fix the pass protection, but the quickest positive results for the offense will happen if they can better establish the run.
That being said, Darkwa needs more carries.
