Here is some formations data I came across.
2016 Season
11-personnel 90%
League average 60%
2017 Dallas Game
11-personnel 72%
12-personnel 14%
21-personnel 9%
22-personnel 4%
2017 Detroit Game
11-personnel 75%
2 tight end sets 20%
2 backs (0/1 TE) 5%
Definitions:
11-personnel - one running back, one tight end, three receivers
12-personnel - one running back, two tight ends, two receivers

I hope they continue to look at using more two or even three tight end formations. I think it helps the running game as well as being a pass benefit with our tight end talent. Some things I would hope to see today are
1) Activate Wayne Gallman. He was a healthy inactive the first 2 games. The guy was known in college for breaking tackles especially in the secondary.Lets see what he can do.
2) More snaps for Orleans Darkwa. He showed the most potential this year on only 19 snaps. In the previous two seasons, though injured, he still managed to average 4.0 yards per carry. He had the best snaps to touchdown ratio, and in 2016 he averaged 2.53 yards after contact per attempt, the most among Giants running backs.
3) Give Jerell Adams more snaps. He has only had 3 offensive snaps and yet has longest reception on the Giants. That was his one target and the reception includes seven yards after the catch. I'd like to see him and Rhett Ellison together in formation. They are the best blocking tight ends and both have shown the ability to be receiving threats.
4) Stick with Marshall in the 12-formations. He is regarded as one of the top blocking receivers in the league. Him and Beckham in the 12-formation would be nice.
5) Push the run game early and give it time. Philly is 27th in yards allowed per attempt this year with 4.9. Though a small sample size the number is not much different from their 2016 average of 4.2.
I am optimistic that the Giants can pull off the upset today and all will be good again.
Go Giants!
-get out in front today.
