as ugly as it appears in text, it's far worse than that when you watch the video, where you can observe his facial expressions and hear the dismissive emphasis he puts on the word "female."
Happened to catch Francesa's reaction on my way home. Â
It was predictably tone deaf - the guy never disappoints. Basically compared it to him being challenged by players when he covered NCAA basketball - happens to all media folks who never played, he said. Completely ignored the blatant sexism. His producer tried to help him, but to no avail.
are you guys seriously outraged by that comment or being sarcastic? i can't tell
i get what he's saying.
i'd have the same reaction if i took my car to the shop and they had all female mechanics. i'd be like "this is a trip, kinda funny to hear a woman talk about cam shafts and drive trains"

You should show yourself out now. It's for your own good. You don't seem very bright

Bad analogy. A better one would be: you're the mechanic, and your customer is a female who's trying to explain a problem by providing some information, using a car term like "engine" in the process.
Find it hard to believe that someone in Cam's position Â
would be THAT outwardly sexist while on camera. His words are indefensible, but gotta believe that it wasn't his intention to offend that woman who asked the question.
He provided a pretty thorough and serious response after his initial offensive reaction, so it was probably a poor attempt to make light of the fact that a woman in the room asked a well thought out football question (as opposed to the non football related questions I'm sure he gets pretty regularly).
But again, there's no defense for him saying what he did, he needs to apologize.

just saying...yall sensy
If he never heard a woman ask a football question Â
like that before, maybe it was odd to him. This did not equal him saying that she should not be there asking the question. That would have been sexist. In fact, he answered it seriously. If he really were being sexist, he would have refused to answer her question. His actions were not sexist. You guys are getting your panties in a bunch over something a nothing. Now that phrase is sexist.

yea i'm with you. to be honest, i don't think i've ever heard a female reporter mentioning "physicality of routes"
How unusual it is for a reporter who asks questions about football to be female. He laughed at the entire premise. I mean, I'm going to guess that if your mom were treated this way in a store while asking about a hammer or something, you probably wouldn't just high five the clerk in agreement.

but he didn't say "its funny to hear a female talk about football"
the reporter asked about the "physicality of routes" meaning, catching balls over the middle. getting off the defender at the line of scrimmage. things that Devin Funchess was doing Sunday (not sure if you watched the game)
so, with that context. yes, it was kinda odd (in a funny way) that she asked that question. because you have to admit, 99% of questions from ALL reporters are super generic and bland
"what do you have to do to turn the season around"
"how do you keep your team motivated"
"what do you say about Eli and his leadership skills"

I kind of agree.. the way he answered the question makes me think he was kind of impressed by her asking that question.. I hope thats the case otherwise he is truly sexist..Either way he comes out looking pretty bad in the video..

Scam Newton at it's again
Grow up.
America. 2017.
He quit in the Super Bowl. That should follow him forever. I wouldn't want him on the Giants for free.
LOL, that was Joey Nickels.
I was at a Super Bowl party hosted by a big Panthers fan when that Cam fumble play happened. I thought the dude was going to have a heart attack.
We are talking about routes.
Marshall on Montana. Or MOM

Not sure what's less prescient and less self aware, using the term bitch as a pejorative in a thread about sexism or the phrase sensy.

So his take here is less than surprising.
Sadly, I think he might be in the Charlotte area, too.

Probably shouldn't be talking about a Master's degree if you can't spell "lying" correctly, hombre.
