Thanks for clearing that up. And that's IF Bauer sustains his recent performance since Gray has been the much better pitcher over the course of their respective careers.
Gray, CC, Tanaka. Is there a whole lot of difference between these pitchers currently? All had solid years, although Tanaka was prone to some epic meltdowns. Point being, one of these guys is a "2" and one is a "4". It's all semantics.

CC is swell. He also is pretty much guaranteed not to give you more than 6 innings, sometimes 5
by the zone but Bauer looked great tonight independently. The Indians outplayed the Yankees (thus far). There's a reason that they had the best record in the AL-- they are damn good.

True but if the ump calls it fairly Bauer will make a mistake or two that gets hit because he isn't any good (like Kluber, Carrasco)
we didn't give up the kitchen sink for him. He respectably fills out the rotation during the long season . Its just those 100 pitches he always throws before the 6 inning is over that is a killer. . Also gave up some Home runs in September.
If you're not going to give Holliday a shot against Miller
This is the real question. Also why Judge and not Ellsbury?
If you think they're done after tonight, you can fuck the hell off. We don't want you here.

The Yanks are getting there - the Indians are there.
That said - we can score runs in bunches, not over till it's over.
Matt- I agree. He is a smirky, smarmy asswhipe. He's also a pretty good picture with a punchable face.
Fair point there.
One of them threw it for strikes.
The other one not only didn't throw it for strikes, but his misses weren't believable in the least.
I say this as someone who is a big fan of Gray in the past and going forward -- he was garbage tonight.
Put Torreyes at third and Frazier at first then.
Get Torreyes an at bat
Sandy Alomar's HR was pure luck that year...hit it off the end of the bat!
It's ok. Gotta learn quick though. Tomorrow is coming fast.
But their pitching is another story. Hope the bats come alive
