Brad Wing

Phil in Joisey : 10/6/2017 12:52 am
Maybe I missed it, but the Giants didn't even bring any punters in this week to challenge the mighty Brad Wing?
This choke artist of a punter has helped lose two games in a row and he goes unchallenged? I really don't understand that at all. Personally I wouldn't have let him get on the team plane home from Tampa.
fairly certain you'd be out of a job if your last two weeks were

held under the same scrutiny, careful what you wish for.
Beckham wouldn't be happy

If his buddy was challenged.

Besides. Bigger problems than Wing.

This team is fucked sideways.

You know me? Or is it your m.o. to criticize fellow BBIers instead of contributing to the thread topic.
FYI, yes I would expect to be fired if I cost my company losses for two consecutive weeks.
And if I were a punter I'd definitely expect to be axed, or at the very least face competition if I helped choke away two games in a row with Little League punts.

Hey Syracuse buddy....thanks for the reasonable answer.
I had no clue that Beckham and Wing were buddies.
However, are the inmates running the asylum?
Seems that way, doesn't it?
Hey Phil

How's it going tonight my friend?
It was going okay until I watched both the Rangers and the Yankees

lose. At least NC State made S.U. look a bit better by knocking off Louisville.
Syracuse football is depressing so far and it looks like a down year upcoming for hoops however some terrific recruits set for next season.
Your thoughts?
No one held accountable

If Wing were held accountable, he'd be gone. But then MaCadoo might have to hold himself accountable!
The thing about Wing I can’t figure out
mfsd : 10/6/2017 6:26 am : link
He was better his first season, and seems to be getting progressively worse. Why? Is it mental? Coaching? He’s got the talent, we’ve seen him kick well before
Wing just isn't the same after getting himself in a song
ZogZerg : 10/6/2017 6:33 am : link
oh well...
This isn’t the time to be singling one guy out
BillT : 10/6/2017 6:54 am : link
I can think of a dozen guys on this team that have played as badly as Wing. Are they going to fire them all? If not, then firing one makes no sense.
I don't understand the outrage to demand competition
Diver_Down : 10/6/2017 7:05 am : link
for Wing. Certainly he is expected to do his job better, but you can count on one hand the number of plays that he has executed that have been below expectations. Yet, we have fielded a LT for 33 games that has never faced competition and has never executed a single play that many would expect of a player picked in the Top 10. Instead our expectations for him are such where he gets credit for not ruining a game.
he had a good year last year

if this continuessure, but you don't replace a guy with a good track record after two bad punts
My 33 games for Ereck was only considering the 2 complete seasons
Diver_Down : 10/6/2017 7:37 am : link
so far. If you want to extend the count, than tack on the 4 for this season. 37 games and counting...
i would cut Wing.
markky : 10/6/2017 7:45 am : link
you have to send a message. start with Wing.
Those two shanks wouldn’t have made much of a difference
Simms11 : 10/6/2017 8:34 am : link
if the Defense did it’s job. The kick in Philly would have been far enough if only the Defense could of stopped a 19 yard pass and not allow the receiver to get out of bounds!

You are so right. This guy has screwed up in two straight games and has directly been a main reason why we lost both. I don't care if he's Mara's buddy,he needs to go. he's awful at directional punting also. He's a mediocre punter who has failed at his job recently and punters are a dime a dozen.

I agree Macadoo should have brought in another punter just to shake this guy up. And by the way bench marshall he's cost us dearly too.
good to see you posting Phil

good points on the thread
It's a team full of contributing culprits, not only the punter

Blame the Punter...

Yeah, I don't post as often. Getting old, getting lazy and not into BBI like I used to be.
I notice you don't post that often any more either.
I'm in reasonable health for an old fart. Sharing spinal stenosis with David Wright has ended my tennis career though. Hope all is well with you.

Exactly, nobody on this team gets benched for bad play, they just keep trotting the same mess out every Sunday! Where is the competition for jobs, they seem to be just given to the same players.
