Figured it'd be a nice relaxing game at 1-0 coming off a home opening win... as an underdog and no big deal, but of course these fuckstains have us all a little more on edge. I expect the leafs to come out flying off their 7-2 face fucking of Winnipeg in their home opener. Have to stem the early tide and go into the first intermission tier or within a goal.
Hopefully play a smarter game tonight. You go to the box 5 times again tonight and we're going home 0-2 with Montreal on tap.
I think they'll eventually wind up with the worst record in the league this year.

This defense is a mess. As I've said for years - this style puts immense pressure on defenders and goalies. Girardi was given well above minimum wage despite our philanthropic donation the next 6 years by a club that knows what it's doing for a reason.

DeAngelo is a defenseman with all-world talent. He’s a top level skater or puck handler who can make unique offensive plays. Much is made of DeAngelo’s character/attitude, for a player traded twice in two years, but the real reason he hasn’t elevated his game is that he’s a defenseman who doesn’t really defend all that well. That is the risk you get with the fantastic upside.
