im talking GM. Head Coach.. Coordinators.. Asst Coaches.. and they REALLY need to take a total look at the scouting department.. It probably needs a serious overhaul and replacement of some people.
it's obvious the 2016 spending spree was a mirage. He sucks at drafting. He's neglected the offensive line for years. Him and Mcadoo need to go. I know the Maras are very loyal but if this isn't a good reason for a clean slate i dont know what is
A head coach, and failed to do anything to address the OLine.
Whoever is GM next year will get a crack at all 3 of the above. Reese does not deserve a do over. McAdoo was hired on his watch. If McAdoo goes, Reese needs to go too.
RE: Because they don't fire GMs and he hasn't even had his own Â
He's going to be here at least through the next HC, even if McAdoo sticks around for awhile.
Doesn't mean it's right, but that's our fate. He's got one of the most secure jobs in the NFL, no matter what happens this season.
He hasn't had his own franchise QB yet? He worked for the Giants the year Eli got drafted and was one of Eli's biggest supporters along with Accorsi in the front office.
at the end of the season. Reese, McAdoo and the entire coaching staff will be fired. No doubt a bunch of scouts will also be fired. It will be like 1978. Fire everyone and start over. A lot of players will also go. 1978 was one of the best things that ever happened to the Giants so I look forward to the flushing.
Everything needs to be blown up. The coach, GM, probably QB and maybe even the star WR. Blow it all up and start over. This offseason will be a rare opportunity to start over picking at the top of a potentially big time QB draft.

Exactly. Reese screwed up the last 6 years of Eli's career. How does he get the right to screw up another QB pick and fail to build a team around said future QB

a flyover of the stadium from his suite regarding attendance and determine if he can postpone till the end of the season, the equivalent of older Walmart CEO flying over Walmart parking lots to check attendance. Butts not in seats = no operational spend. If folks are sitting and buying he just needs some lame excuse about the plan moving forward.
The Maras pull the strings. So firing Reese will not improve matters unless they hire a GM with autonomy like they did with GY
This in part. Reese does have a lot of power in the draft, but McAdoo was all ownership. That they fell in love w McAdoo is so sad and pathetic that I have my doubts that they have any idea what to do other than keep inoet people in their jobs and expect the fans to keep swallowing shitty football.
I hated the McAdoo hire. Just like I hated firing Gilbride. Then Fewell. Than TC. They've gone back to the pre George Young days. Not a good thing at all
July, 2013: Puts up a Superbowl clock in the Giants locker room.
Early December, 2013: Takes down Superbowl clock.

August, 2015: "I think we'll be really good defensively. I think we're going to surprise people."
May, 2016: $200mill spent on a new defense

Jan 2016: "Have you researched that? Do you know that for a fact?. OK, until you know that for a fact, then I don't think you should say that. That's just my opinion. If you know that for a fact, then you can tell me that. But give me the facts on that."

Hopefully Jerry's next bold statement will be, "so where's the unemployment line?"
getting a different GM doesn't have to be an indictment of the GM, it may be simply a way to find a different point of emphasis.
Jerry Reeses' point of emphasis, or version of football has been clear for the duration of his tenure, good and bad.
The blind spots, the oversights, very, very obvious.
Its in personel, drafting, fee agency, super clearly at this point, the list is too long to repeat here, skinny guys as opposed to wide interior linesmen year after year after year, but the problems are twofold.
1. Mara simply failed to reign Jerry in or redirect him. Either Chris doesn't get it, or he got hornswaggled.
2. Apparent continued efforts to 'make the guys we wanted to work get work' (Flowers, Perkins, Sintim, Wilson, yada yada yada.) as opposed to letting coordinators coordinate.
3. Macadoo, apparently in the good graces of Jerry, following the above gets away with reverting to form, even after the new stuff was working.
Been saying it since Fassel. If you don't build the line, WR injuries result from lack of variety in route tree and lack of play action ...lack of WRs getting free on change ups.
Its an awful indictment of the system to now have neither style A nor style B.
fire Tom Coughlin. I thought they would let him ride out the last few years with Eli. Given what happened to TC, nothing would surprise me. The wheels seem like they are falling off now. If Mara had the guts to fire TC, I think a full housecleaning is a possibility if this ends up being a 4-12ish team. If they continue on this putrid path, I would not be shocked if both Reese and BM are gone at the end of the season.
Claimed this was the most talented team the Giants have had in yrs. Now it’s the GMs fault. Everyone said the Giants had a team that should win the division or even be in then Super Bowl. Now it’s the GMs fault? No this is coaching. When every area of the team has regressed, that’s coaching.
You’re losing to teams less talented than you are. That’s not the GM. That’s the coach
& last season's record was a fluke. They shouldn't be 0-5. They are so some of the blame is definitely charged to the coaching staff. But the players are getting off too easily. Guys like Collins are not living up to expectations.

2013-the OC
2014-the DC
2015-the HC
2016-reprieve
2017-has to be GM and most of FOand HC and whole coaching staff
Can't get rid of the Mara's but maybe give Chris a job on the business side picking out color rush uniforms and running breast cancer awareness month
Ding ding. Blow it all up.

Agree, but my fear is Chris Mara as GM.
