I hated the play call they sit on those slants because we
can't run much of anything else . there are always 3-4 guys
wanting to take your head off on those slants .
This is the worst system I have ever seen its a crummy concept that few QB's can run .

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. fractured his ankle. He could have surgery but no decision yet.

#Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. has a fracture in his left ankle. No decision made on surgery yet. So report premature, team says.

This is some serious good news if true. Of course he could have a fx ankle and ligament damage....

Depends on what part of the fibula. A distal fibula fracture can cause problems with the ankle. Proximal fibula can be risky for nerve damage. That being said if you fracture the shaft of the fibula it is usually stable and less problematic because it's non-weight bearing bone.
If it's the same ankle as before
BlackLight : 10/8/2017 5:22 pm : link
than the ligament damage was already there from the H.A.S. O

Only question is whether this injury made it worse, or if it only resulted in the fracture.

In the long wouldn't a fracture be a more preferred injury than a high ankle sprain? I know they are around the same time for healing but the Sprain can linger for weeks

playing hockey at age 38. Snapped it right above the skate boot.
They'll put a plate in and his bone will be just fine in 8-12 weeks.

The question is how much of his ligaments he blew out. He will have to rehab that. For me, at 38, I got back to roughly 98% of what it was prior to the injury and was back on skates the next season. It was never the same, but mostly OK, just cranky from time to time.

He will likely rehab and heal much better at his age. Hopefully the ligament thing isn't too bad.

It's probably still better than if it were a knee.

Why? Its a true statement about the reality of economics in the NFL.
A player breaks his leg in the regular season
Go Terps : 10/8/2017 5:42 pm : link
so no one should go to OTA's?

Its a good thing we didnt trade Strahan for a 5th round pick too. Why do you think the cap is this horrible thing that paying Beckham will completely ruin the team? We can very well afford to pay Beckham and field a perfectly competent football team provided Reese doesnt kill us by drafting gems like Apple and Flowers.
You have to assume OBJ is out for the year
SGMen : 10/8/2017 5:50 pm : link
And if he is out for the year this offense will sputter badly.

3 - 13 is a real possibility now. Especially if Shepard and Marshall are out for any period of time as well. Just a bad luck season.

No, it's not. A player in his position is in line for a legit payday. He's still on a rookie deal.

Donte Fowler tore his ACL in mini-camp before he even played a down in the NFL.

A player in Beckham's situation is more than justified in not attending OTA's and trying to protect himself. He could have done what Donald did, but he didn't.

But sure.. it's "unbelievably stupid" because you hate the player.

Who said no one should go to OTAs? Despite all of your attempts to ignore this, Odell wasn't just some average player. He was perhaps the most productive player in the sport and was being paid a fraction of what he was worth to the team. Exceedingly productive players should be paid and if their only recourse involves not subjecting themselves to hits and possible injury, so be it.

What a douche comment. The best player on the team just suffered a serious injury and some are wondering how it might affect his future. That's about the team, not just the player. And discussing a player's desire to get his payday because of the inherent risks involved in the game is absolutely relevant.

Your next contribution of any value will be your first. Fucking weird.
