to put Ben McAdoo in "hewhoshallnotbenamed" status with the other idiot?
It has been 26 years since i've seen a Giants team so ill-prepared, lacking in fundamentals, without direction, penalty and mistake-prone at least twice a series on both sides of the ball (think about that for a second and digest it), and absolutely no accountability on and off the field.
The old saying - the fish stinks from the head down - couldn't speak the truth more than it does for this Giants team. I don't know where they found this guy. I don't know what he said in his interviews to snake oil sell the Maras. I don't know whose dick he had to suck to get this job. I have never been less impressed with a coach outside of Greg Robinson at Syracuse. Even Greg Shiano laughed at that fuckstain.
In a way, I feel bad for the guy. He's clearly in over his head and he knows it. He's got to go home to his wife, have her powerwash the pomade out of his hair, make sure he has a fresh pair of tighty whities after shitting in his BVDs after halftime, figure out how to microwave a Hungry Man TV dinner and watch film so that the Giants can play complimentary football and get back to work on the road in Denver against the Broncos.
He is 0-6 in the most brutal media and fan market in the league. He just lost FOUR wide receivers in the span of three quarters. He lost the best player on the team for the year. He has no OL. He has no DL. Who is going to return kicks next week? Think about that? Who is the return man on punts and kickoffs?
(and to make it worse, all these injuries work like a Get Outta Jail Free Card for a return next season)
Holy. Shit.
So, is it too early to induct McNcheese into the Giants Hall of Absolute Watery Shit? I say he's earned the nomination undoubtedly, but will he get the votes?
No doubt we should move on next year but no need to pile on and humiliate this guy.
You must’ve slept through a few of those recent Coughlin years.
THIS
No doubt we should move on next year but no need to pile on and humiliate this guy.
I'm not piling on. I feel bad for the guy like I mentioned. That has little to do with the fact that I think he's a shitty coach.
He was known to play a game of cards every now and then. So what?
They promoted him to early and it shows.
He only had 2 years of play calling and the defense saved him last year.
He might be a great head coach someday but I don't have the patience to wait
schedule we scratched and clawed our way to enough points to win while riding the backs of the defense that wore down
in the end . The problems on offense were as clear as day
RB a #2 WR and the O-line and TE out of the three the
most important aspect was not addressed which was the O-line
that made the defenses job quite simple they could play deep rush the passer and ignore the run game . No threat of a
breakaway run . Same formation 95% of the time .
This season with a brutal schedule and the truth unfolds .
If I were Eli I would be pissed about having to play behind
this mess of an offensive line .
I thought this guy had a great feel for the game last year - I thought his game management was solid, thought he was a guy who would be good for the younger guys on the team.
I was totally fooled. The guy is clueless.

Same here.
But I watch other teams and they look focused, prepared, crisp and fast, like they have a plan and they know how to execute it, even if the other team makes a play sometimes.
The Giants look unfocused and unprepared on both sides of the ball, like they never quite finished putting in the game plan. I guess that's on the head coach. Something's not right, for sure.
Mc has lost the team, there are no player leaders. Not on offense, not on defense. Beckham' childlike behavior aside, he is the only one who displays passion. Spags having players run film is his attempt at trying to ignite some fire, walk the professional pride line carefully, but still not en ough.
JPP playing like a recently paid pro, but he isn't a leader. Vet players with big contracts and rookie contracts nearing end, more concerned about their TD dances and kneeling and protesting, then winning games. Injuries starting to pop now (beckham / marshal aside).
Where is the NY Giant Pride? sadly none on display. This is on the coach and starting to include all the coordinators.
Put me down on the firing of mc at the bye with promo of spags rest of season with open hc interviews at seasons end with rebuild of offense and open qb competition with Eli at seasons end. Only thing that will keep this fan interested remainder of year.
Something does stink and agree it starts top down
combine last year's smoke and mirrors with this year's shitshow...
of course, somehow, he and Reese/Ross will be back and allowed to hit a reset button. at least the other shithead was canned after 2 years.

Same here. I loved mcadoo last year. Really I did... I thought the talent on O was lacking and he did what he had to do to win games. 11 personnel whatever, it worked even if the O struggled mightily. It worked.
After Dallas week 1 I just couldn't shake this feeling that mcadoo is in over his head. I've never ever ever flipped so fast on a HC in my lifetime. Never soured like this. I could be wrong shit I usually am but I'm confident in my beliefs here. The guy is a mess.
We have a shit ton of injuries, with OBJ gone for the year, Marshall, Shep and Harris all injured, not mention Vernon. We have no pass rush and no deep threat.
He is really in over his head now because we have a depleted roster.
I would call King and Cruz and hope Marshall or Shepard can come back soon

Agreed! I've noticed the same thing all year. As my d-line coach used to say "whose gonna be the prick?" We have none. Seems like everyone is afraid to speak up and be a leader b/c it involves calling people out.
Something does stink and agree it starts top down
(After the season) I was in the weight room one day and he came in and he started talking to me and he said, ‘If I survive this, if I’m the Giants coach next year, I promise you we’re going to do it my way now.’ I’ll never forget that and I’m sure that he had built up all these beliefs and ways to run a football team and he didn’t do them his first year as a head coach. That would be a terrible burden to carry. So his second year when we went to training camp he was a different guy. As he said, he did it his way.
“He probably was able to create the true line between him and the players, which maybe he didn’t do that the first year. He just started acting the way he wanted to act. I’m not going to say the pressure was off. The pressure to win was great, of course. I think we all feel better when we just do it our way. There had to be a sense of calmness to him with the fact he could go, ‘I’m just being me now.’ Because that’s what it was. He really was just himself.”
George was also sensitive to the fact that it was Bill’s first year and we had all these guys hurt so maybe he deserves another chance as well. The unknown question is: Had Schnellenberger said yes, what would we have done? Fortunately he didn’t say yes.
I think about this all the time: What would have happened if we followed through and terminated him at the end of the '83 season?" Mara said. "Where would we have gone with that?"
"It stands out to me," Banks said, "because it was the only time I saw him at his most vulnerable."
The players had heard rumblings about Parcells' uncertain job security. According to Banks, Parcells told his team: "Listen, we got to win around here or my ass is going to be fired. I'm going to fix this roster. But I need to know that once this roster is set, that those of you who remain will be my guys. I need to know you'll be with me."
Banks considers that a turning point.
"That, to me, was the birth of the whole idea of 'Parcells guys,' " Banks said. "He didn't talk to us that day in coach-speak or in clichés. He broke down the situation to its most basic point. I think that was the day we learned not only who would be Parcells guys, but who Parcells was."
Quote #1 is Phil Simms, the Superbowl winning QB that was benched in 1983 for Scott Brunner by Parcells. #2 is John Mara. # 3 is Carl Banks.
I'm not saying McAdoo is Parcells. All I'm saying here is that BBI would have crucified Parcells for the exact same reasons in 1983 that we see in 2017. If I dug up my copies of the old "Inside Football", I'd see similar sentiments in the letters to the Editor.
Maybe Ben should be fired. Maybe Bill Parcells should have been fired, based on what he did in 1983. And Reese is no George Young. It's a tough call, but we've been here..at these crossroads...before.
Botched the QB reps in camp
Crappy play caller
Has no control over
the team.
Undisciplined PATHETIC team falls on him.
If he is still coach next year then it's time to find another team.

First coach I've ever had such polar stances on, I think.

Same here.
Same here.
The "team" was not better last year, the defense was. The offense sucked.
