SNF Chefs v Texans

trueblueinpw : 10/8/2017 9:35 pm
Didn’t see a thread. JJ Watt on his way to the hospital with a knee. Whitney Merciless our with a shoulder. Alex Smith continues his incredible start. Big Andy’s Chefs are cooking with gas in Houston.
Great hoogily moogily.

Season ender.
What a play for the TD!

Dumb penalty by Clowney. Tough luck for JJ Watt, great guy.
Where does Watson go in a re-draft tomorrow?
Chris684 : 10/8/2017 10:43 pm : link
WTF were people watching letting him slip?

His performance TWICE against Saban's defense and breaking through for a win should have sealed the deal as a top 3 pick.

DeShaun Watson is the fucking truth.

I'd be so excited right now if I were a HOU fan.
Great play design
trueblueinpw : 10/8/2017 11:06 pm : link
They’ve been running that end around fake (or not fake) all night and each time with a different wrinkle. That’s the sort of play design we never see from McAdoo. Watson is really something.

Lotta of great Tom Petty tracks tonight on SNF. Nice touch.

Andy Reid is really an excellent coach. The playoff failures are a black mark on his resume.. but his teams are always so strong on the ground and his regular season record is very impressive. I'm glad he's out of Philadelphia.

Indeed. I'm hoping we'll feel something similar about a young QB in the near future.

Watson had his share of detractors prior to the draft. Why?

I think teams are/were wary of the mobile college QB's who do so much damage running the ball because the lifespan of some of those guys has been so short and they take so many hits. But I think a lot of teams undervalued Watson as a passer and maybe questioned if they could turn him into a productive NFL QB long-term.

This guy is not a product of a system or a guy that is going to have a super short shelf-life. I think he's legit.

Do you think Jackson from Louisville is more of the short lifespan type or going to be more legit?
Watson was a name that was tied to the Giants during the draft
SHO'NUFF : 10/8/2017 11:37 pm : link
I didn't mind it at all. He's proven to be clutch. Just had a question of arm strength, which looks good to me.

My concern with Jackson is his accuracy. I'm not 100% sold on him being able to make all the throws at the NFL level - but there's no denying his talent. He's very explosive, he has the tools, I think he just has some mechanical things he needs to tighten up.

I worry that he may rely a bit too much on his legs but to be honest, I had the same skepticism about Watson.

I think Jackson needs to become a better passer otherwise his career won't last as long as whoever drafts him would like.. but it's not like he's a major "project" - the talent is there.

Watson has some arm... man.

That's a great play by Hopkins, though.
That’s ugly.

I read and heard so much
santacruzom : 10/8/2017 11:45 pm : link
About how Watson had a leadership and charisma aura about him that was obvious at the rookie symposium (as did Russell Wilson and Dak, apparently). There sure seems to be something to that when combined with talent.
impressive

it looks like we missed out on Watson.
I'm enjoying the fact
santacruzom : 10/8/2017 11:58 pm : link
That I've got Watson in both of my leagues, one as a keeper at the cost of a 10th rounder.
We missed out on a lot of players..

Reese is a joke.
How could we have missed out on Watson?
santacruzom : 10/9/2017 12:35 am : link
He went 12th overall!
If the Giants took Watson,
smshmth8690 : 10/9/2017 12:40 am : link
he wouldn't be playing, and many would be saying he was a wasted pick.

I had it in my head that he was a 2nd round pick for whatever reason... maybe I'm thinking of Deshone Kizer.
