is over if it turns out Beckham is gone for the year and Sheppard and Marshall would miss 6-8 weeks? It just seems as if the stars just were not aligned for the Giants this season!
We basically get shut out.
I mean, it would depend how we won those games - but I think it's pretty clear that this offense sans Beckham is almost entirely inept.

Sadly, it is almost entirely inept WITH Beckham,
our defense has been nothing like last years version. The offense did give the Giants leads late in the game these last three weeks 21-14 @ Philly, 23-22 @ Tampa and 22-20 Today. Just not their year!
it's less painful that we were 0-4 going in. After today the season would have fallen apart anyway with no WR and entering a stretch where we play 4 out of 5 games against teams coming off byes. We'd be toast but with Reese and McAdoo locks to return due to injury excuse. At least now we have a chance for a full house cleaning and a new era. Still sucks pretty bad but sometimes better just to hit bottom like The Fumble.
bad coaching is why I'm convinced we're done... if we were 3-2 or 4-1, I assume there would be some semblance of competence from the coaching staff.
the ankle pandemic might save both Reese and MacAdoo's jobs. The Giants don't want to fire GM or HC. So the assistant coaches will again be purged. Gentleman probably will return in some capacity. And some scouts will be cashiered or moved around . The natural high-profile target is Ross.
The Giants are in serious trouble. They have an aging QB whose days are numbered . They have high-priced malingerers on the Dline, the alleged strength of the team. Too bad there isn't somebody like Coughlin around to provide a sense of professionalism to what is a very sick franchise.
It starts at the top. It always does. Mara's record running operations is about as good as his father. Time for another Edict of 1979. Stay away from the day to day.
