Saying 'maybe I don't have it anymore' after the game. What does that achieve saying that? After spending an offseason threatening retirement (which we knew he wasn't going to do) & now this? Very poor leadership IMO.
putting the blame on yourself instead of the team shows leadership.
Just like when Villanueva came out for the anthem and got all that attention and Ben "couldn't sleep at night" LOL
and he did talk about retiring before the season, so not surprised he's struggling.
Sometimes players aren't threatening retirement just to miss camp or get more money.
but I don't see that answer as all that wrong - he was absolute garbage yesterday.
and he backpedaled after saying that

Exactly. The guy is getting clown questions like "why did you play so badly?" ten minutes after walking off the field. Football is an emotional game. I tend to give a bit of slack to players and their answers immediately after a game
But holy shit do they have a bunch of drama queens on that team. It's not just Ben - when they run bell 33 times against Baltimore, brown wines and throws sideline temper tantrums. Now they are playing catch up all day to Jacksonville and leveon bell, who held out all training camp and hasn't been able to stay healthy throughout his career is complaining about only getting 15 carries (after 33 the prior week) and 5 or so receptions.
And martavis Bryant isn't complaining yet but he looks like complete dog shit out there. Not even remotely the same player from before his suspension.
