Man up -Who else almost shed a Tear when Odell got hurt

Elite Mobster #32 : 10/9/2017 11:41 am
I know I did - I think last year the Giants had all the goods to go further in the Playoffs McAdoo was able to get the most out of the roster and the Defense.

Believe it or not, I think the team suffered from extreme disappointment. The coaches including Mac and Spags.
The defense was the best we have seen in years.
Some of the guys had one more run in them (Cromartie Cassias)but the defensive same intensity was reduced especially after the offense looked less explosive then last year even preseason and didn't produce.

I thought were keeping the group from last year and add guys like Engram, and Marshall
there were some peculiar cuts like Tye and Rudolph who weren't pro bolwers but could catch ELI. If they can catch Eli that was important because he is not accurate.

So now the whole dynamics of the team will have to be based on investing for next year. We have to get playing time for potential stars. If there is way to add players from other teams practice squad who have potential lets see what we can add.

Feel better Odell I'm sure you will be back better than ever.

I was at the game, in section 149, right in front of the play. My initial reaction was "What a drama queen! How could he be hurt on such a weak tackle.." Then I noticed Giant players kneeling with their heads down and Charger players rushing to his side, and the realization set in that it was bad. I get a text from my wife who's watching from home "it looks like a broken ankle, they can't get it straightened out". That's when the face goes into the palms of my hands and everything goes completely numb.

It was very upsetting

As soon as he went down, Chargers players were waving to the sidelines signaling for trainers... when that happens, you know it's bad.

I was at the game and couldn't see when he got rolled up, but the mood (as far as I could see) on the field changed in an instant, and regardless of what happened after, I knew the season was over.
I almost shed a tear

because I purchased the NFL ticket for the first time this year. Yikes!
the replay of it

was brutal
I am devastated about Odell as well as the state of the team.

I guess the blank profile page was just wishful thinking

the season was already kaput

so my reaction was more disgust and sarcastic laughter (not at Odell) that "of course, this would happen"... and on top of that, I was pissed that the ball was thrown as high as it was.

.

Had the same thought last night.
After seeing him nicked last week,

I had a feeling he would get injured this week, but I didn't think it would be season ending, just a few games...

Our season is officially over now.....there was always a chance with OBj, but now we are looking at an offense without playmakers......just hope ownership remembers how this team played, before the bottom officially fell out, and doesn't use it as an excuse, injuries, for the whole season.....this offense never got started.....
Is James Jones still available?

Seeing him on the sideline
Metnut : 10/9/2017 12:15 pm : link
trying to fire up the offense after Marshall and Shepard went down on back to back plays and then cracking his ankle minutes later was heartbreaking.
Had a bit of a sick feeling

I have yet to watch the replay I was already so pissed you
could fry an egg on my forehead .
The over use of OBJ and these constant quick hitters over
the middle are a recipe for disaster !
I pray they clean house from top to bottom .
I am fucking irate that they pissed El's last 6 years down the drain . It will be a sad day when #10 is no longer under
center . Maybe one of the most classiest QB's to ever play
the game not to mention he never complains makes excuses or
throws anyone under the bus . The disrespect that some
of the people here I would like to kick them in the nuts.
He is far from done At least two more years after this debacle he is worth every penny he has earned .
I saw

flashbavcks of Cruz crying and clutching his knee
It symbolized rock bottom for me...
Bchurch : 10/9/2017 12:39 pm : link
As soon as I saw the Chargers waiving for help I knew he was done...

Time to pick up the pieces and figure this thing out for next year...
OBJ could be back for playoffs
Bchurch : 10/9/2017 1:03 pm : link
Doctor Rajaram was just on WFAN with Joe and Evan and said after surgery it will take 8 weeks before he could put weight on it and if we were in the hunt we would be talking about him being ready for playoffs.

Obviously that doesn't matter but puts the injury in perspective.

Heard that too and he also said that he should be ready for training camp no problem, especially knowing what type of off season work he puts in, etc.
