Gallman, Rudolph- Seeing What We Got

Keaton028 : 10/9/2017 2:44 pm
This season has unfortunately come down to seeing what some of our new, or lesser known players, have got. Players like Gallman, Rudolph and Powe will now fill much larger roles for the remainder of the season, and may be some of the only reasons to continue watching games.

With that said, let's see what we've got with a possible rebuild on the horizon. I'm rooting for some of these guys to make more of a name for themselves. Who do you predict, if any, will step up and shine?

My prediction: Travis Rudolph, a guy who seems like a good kid, with sure hands. May not establish himself as a superstar per se, but I think his play will reveal that he needs a spot on the team.
Rudolph reminds me a little of our

own Steve Smith. Let’s hope the outcome is comparable.
Thats fair

He's a guy who doesn't have insane speed, but does have excellent hands and is spacially aware. A bit slippery, too, with the ball in his hands.

I like Shep, and think he is OK in the slot, but Rudolph could be a guy that pushes him. Competition is always a good thing.
We need to see what Webb has got

But its too early. late in the season when we are like 2-11. Give him significant time in the last 3 games. At the very least raise his trade value if we do get a qb early.
I am intrigued by Webb

I would be all for drafting a QB early, and letting that QB and Webb battle it out in camp. Webb seems like an intelligent, determined, capable guy. He has size and arm strength, but I am under the impression accuracy is an issue. It would also be nice to find a QB who is somewhat mobile. Let the best man win.

this week in Denver is not the time to do it but we need to see what he's got and I think some Eli lovers are afraid he may actually be able to help the offense score more than 30 points
I would let Eli play out the season.

I'm not an Eli fanboy, but I respect the man and think he's far from deserving of being benched. Let him finish, but next year have an open competition for the job. This season is tanked regardless if we ever score 30 pts or not.

Open competition for the job...? LOL...

Eli will be the starter for the next 2 years so get used to it now...
Just the law of averages and blind, dumb luck . . . .

suggests the Giants are due to hit on some of their UDFA or long-shot pickups. They can't all be losers, right?

I honestly don't mind having Eli at QB. He is responsible for some of the greatest moments I have experienced as a Giants fan. If he is indeed QB for the next two years, I am fine with it. I only mention a possible QB competition, because we have one 3rd RD QB waiting for an opportunity, and this draft class is supposed to provide some good talent at the position. It would seemingly be an appropriate year to draft a QB high.
ELI

Eli is far from whats wrong with this team, but his age and timing may dictate the drafting of his successor in this upcoming draft.
There's

a legitimate debate about whether we should stay with Webb, or use a first round pick on a QB. There is less of a debate about whether Reese and company should make that decision.

House should be wiped clean. Don't do anything halfway anymore. Reese should left with TC, but ownership has been content to allow partial fixes. No more. Now is the time to wipe the slate clean, and let new management pick their own coaches and players.
Should say

*Reese should have left with TC
