But why does he sometimes go down on sacks without even getting hit. Saw yesterday he went down at least twice without any contact.
He's just not that committed to winning

That is completely untrue.
So, you want him to take an unnecessary hit?

Brady, Peyton, etc. all do this. I guess you criticize QBs for sliding feet first too.

Eli does it a hell of lot more than Brady

Or Peyton (when he played of course)
Because he's lethargic, lazy, and fat and sometimes needs to rest at

inopportune times.
He has done this throughout his career

This isn't something new, and it has contributed to his longevity.

or football in general? He does it to avoid bone crunching hits. It's one of the reasons he plays week in or week out. Or would you prefer he stand in the pocket like Big Ben and take all sorts of shots, and then miss time and grimace all the time so everybody can talk about how tough he is.
He's old

And brittle and can't escape like he could 10 years ago
because if he doesn't go down
SHO'NUFF : 10/9/2017 4:05 pm : link
you get Big Ben or Derek Carr... who miss multiple games over the years.
I get taking a fall.
Blueforever : 10/9/2017 4:20 pm : link
And I know other Qbs do it. I just don't like that he's one of the all time best at it.

Put a little more effort in. This is lazy stuff.
He does that to avoid a fumble
