woke up this morning smelling smoke, strongly enough to wonder if the fire was within a mile or two from where I live instead of 50 or so.
A coworker had to leave early to help her brother's family evacuate. She says if the wind changes, his house is gone.
here in the East Bay. Kids' practices were cancelled due to poor air quality. And their summer camp in Sonoma County has apparently been burned to the ground.

Were to arrive this Saturday. We cancelled last night and will rebook for April or May. Due to the fires the airline let us cancel without being charged cancelation fees. Hopefully they get under control and contained soon.
taking a major hit -- I've seen a few shots of vineyards engulfed in flames
in Nevada County. There are over 3 thousand homes there. All the residents including my tenants had to evacuate.
Wine country or not, these fires are not something to be mocked. I hope everyone affected is able to make it out ok, and are able to rebuild and resume their lives.
The pictures of Santa Rosa are sad. I’ve eatten at the fountains restaurant in the pictures you see. Really sad.
Just heard from a college friend.
Her sister received a call and had 15 minutes to escape her home. It is completely burned to the ground, but they are thankful to escape with their lives.
this week and next, and had planned on hitting up Napa this weekend. Scary situation out there for sure. Pretty sad to see so many affected by these fires.
I had to grab my son at school, it was being evacuated. I was wondering how g2La or Giants2LA held up? He was in the path of the fire that afternoon.
