At least the WR depth chart is involuntarily due to injury. What is scarier is voluntarily listing Gallman as the #4 halfback when he is clearly the best RB on the team. McAdoo sucks.
or maybe at least 2 and 3 it'd be scary. At 0 for the season and everything else falling apart, its laughable. Here we thought the OL would be the main issue the entire season and in one game, our best offseason construction project has been wiped out. Suck for Sam?
1: More Looks for EE. We have a chance to see what this kid can do. I hope McAdoo gets creative with him.
2: Gallman should get a lot of carries. No longer a passing offense with 4th string wrs. Run the ball and se what this kids got.
3: Get a look at Rudolph. A lot of us like Travis in the preseason. He has a chance to show what he can do and if he can be a solid 3rd wr for us next year (bye bye Marshall).
4: Late season time for Webb. We used a damn 3rd round pick on him he can get some great playing time toward the end of the season to see if he is legit for the future or if we need to get a qb with our top pick.
5: This season has shown that Reese needs to be booted.
In disguise?? The injuries while season ending, aren’t career threatening by all accounts and they most likely will help the Giants continue to tank the season. This hopefully leads to the overdue removal of Reese and the speedly removal of BM. AND putting us in prime draft position to snag Eli’s heir. This season wasn’t going anywhere good so we might as well look at the possible bright side.

Unfortunately I believe that these injuries will be used as an excuse to give McAdoo and Reese one more chance next year.

why is it scary?
Shepard is reliable, but hardly explosive.
Shepard may not even be out there....
Harris is an afterthought as WR and his only reason being on the team is he is a topnotch gunner with good hands on punts and KRs.
Harris is done for the year....
Rudolph will be interesting in the slot and appears to have good hands, while being good at finding the seams.
Yes, that's why he didn't make the team....
King is explosive and a deep threat every play.
Well, obviously, he is OBj's replacement....and yet he didn't make the final cut...
Lewis has actually looked good and played a very good gunner.
Guess who may be the #1 receiver for the Giants....Guess who will be covering him....guess who may never catch a pass...
Engram will be schooled this week in WR routes.
I hope so, the TE routes obviously were not working the last game...
I think there will be communication problems with those guys and Eli in reads and that could be scary as to INTs.
No kidding.....how did Eli look in his first game with Marshall and Double E? And these were guys with talent.....we are talking about guys that were cut and not claimed by anyone....
Now what is scary is Von Miller.....
For the most part, we have seen teams rush 4 and sometimes 3, and have 7 or 11 back there.....I think since Denver has good man to man coverage, you will see more blitzes than normal......that is going to be real scary....Giants can't handle stunts.....this is going to be so bad, Webb might be in to start the second half....
if it's a joke, no issue with the comment, if not, and it's serious don't you think if this was true he would have had a job before now and maybe not be on his 6th team in 5 years?
And maybe if this is true he'd have more than 4 career regular season receptions in 5 years of an NFL "career"
I hope he's the second coming of Randy Moss, but I think this is beyond a slight hyperbole.
Eli haters and the stat dorks will be out in full force when he predictably has a crappy 12 games to end the season.
Good lord, will you give it a rest? We get it. You're trying to stake your claim as Elis biggest supporter. Every single one of your posts has something to do with defending Eli. Jeezus man
No-show in Dallas to pen the season.
No-show honoring 07 team MNF home opener.
Back-breaking season crushing loss in Philly (once again) on 61 yard FG as time expired.
More ineptitude in TB and another FG loss at the gun.
We've had in-fighting, injuries, personal fouls, poor special teams and unrealized expectations.
There is nothing left to scare me, at least this season.
If I never hear 'next man up', 'heavy handed', 'complimentary football Â

So you just asked "seriously" then repeated what I said?
Yeah we know Shepard isn't likely to be there... no shit
Yeah we know Harris is done ... no shit
Only reason Rudolph didn't make the final 53 is Lewis and Harris are good special teamers...Rudolph is probably a better receiver than Harris and about the same as Lewis
King - see Rudolph.
#5 and #6 WRs need to play special teams. King and Rudolph didn't. They are likely no better or worse than other teams #5 and #6. I think Rudolph has the potential to be an extremely good possession receiver and he and Eli seemed to read each other very well in pre-season. Also remember. many of the writers were surprised he didn't make the final 53...
is because he is fast. I've seen the Giants at home for the first two games this season. It's easier to judge speed when you see the game live. The Giants remain a slow-ass team. Last season DRC ranked the 5 fastest Giants thusly: 1 Him 2 King 3 Apple 4 Beckam 5 Jenkins
Obviously if speed were all that mattered , Mike Miller, Henry Carr and Clarence Childs would be in the HOF instead of being trivia answers . But I want to see if King can get behind people. As to the comments above about Shepard, I disagree about the lack of explosiveness , at least before the injury . I used to think that, too, but he looked much faster this season. Jenkins is a fast safety who used to play wide corner and still covers from the slot . Shep blew him away .
I bet Mac will still stick to his precious 11 personnel Â
I expect to see several "miscommunication" INTs because Eli has no rapport or timing with these WRs.
Byron Williams was always a guy I liked and thought he could have really had a nice career......explosive.
We need a WR, Linebackers, oline, maybe another CB or 2. Maybe another pass rusher. Scary.

and that very high draft pick. ---Just get rid of Reese.

BillKo... not forgetting him.... Earnest Gray drove me nuts. Not a fan.
Unfortunately I believe that these injuries will be used as an excuse to give McAdoo and Reese one more chance next year.

[quote] becomes a major priority in next years's draft. I'm guessing Marshall's days as a Giant are done.
WR should never be a priority in a draft. Unless you're Jerry reese. Keep drafting 3rd and 4th stringers with premium picks and ignoring the line.
Heck, with Will Tye sitting on the "Stoneybrook Reserve", we can always pick him back up and reunite the gang....
