That he wants more money than they are offering?

That he's seen Flowers and Hart play?
Only weeks late.

Giants are scrounging for OL. We just signed Cooper to the PS, and that was after bringing in 8-10 OL this past week. They're looking for anyone that might at least develop into a backup, to minimize what they have to spend next year in the draft and FA.

Now they should be giving Wheeler a shot rather than an aging veteran that won't be here next season.
He doesn't need to be a world beater

or even help us win games. If he allows us to move Flowers, so that we can properly evaluate him this season at a new position, then he should be signed.
Good, keep Eli's streak going

yes, now NO... Might as well play Pugh at LT and flip Flowers to RT or go Wheeler at LT..

While we suck and will not be going anywhere, now is the time to tinker with the lineups and see if we can get the foundation for the next few years. Now is the time to see if Flowers can play guard.. Get Wheeler some playing time. Decide if Richburg is worth keeping.. Hart better learn to play better or he is gone. Fluker is a one year rental or maybe backup option next year but he is no threat to start ....

Bolden or VJax. I hope it's VJax and he shows Marshall how a little effort from a big WR would do good things with Eli

There's no sense in putting cap money for a 32 year old vet who probably isn't in football shape.

Seattle's OL is worse than the Giants. At least pass blocking. If Manning played behind that line he'd be sacked 10 times a game.

The OL has been at this level or declining for 3 years. 5 more games was the breaking point?

This is like watching a massive leak form a flood in your house for 1.5 years and then finally calling a plumber. Whats the point now?

I truly believe not signing Whitworth submarined this entire season. Could easily be 3-2 right now with him. Having an elite LT makes that much of a difference. And allowing flowers and company to continue to be terrible at their jobs without consequences makes the team leadership lose respect of the players. It all adds up....
Lmao...
prdave73 : 10/10/2017 5:39 pm : link
Now???! Really Reese?? Oline has been a mess since day one and now you actually want to do something? More examples on why he needs to get fired. I'm wondering why, is it the top now finally making him do something or maybe he now knows his job is in jeopardy? Smh..

Who, Wheeler? Not strong enough yet. Dude is a free agent, so no compensation is required. If the price is right, go for it.
This would be a good thing
adamg : 10/10/2017 5:55 pm : link
if it means Flowers would be able to change positions now and give us an idea of what we really have in our kids on the line.
Only reason to make moves now are if you think the player can

This is now about getting warm bodies in to practice than salvaging the season. This season is done and is a perfect time to see what they have and don't have. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny

Sammo85 : 10/10/2017 6:19 pm : link
Smells, looks, feels like a flailing act of desperation by a GM and Coach who are headed towards getting fired.

I really am done with both Reese and McAdoo.

At this point we are going to have had 20 WRs on our roster this year and like 15 different offensive line combinations.

I think that if they bring him in
phil in arizona : 10/10/2017 6:46 pm : link
it'll be because they want to move one (or both) of the tackles and are dead set on Wheeler sitting a year.

I refuse to believe any line is worse than ours. It's just not possible.

Russell Wilson has been sacked 3 times in every game this season, lol.

It is possible.

Seattles OL is very, very bad.

If Wilson wasn't mobile, he'd get sacked 5+ times per week.
It's hard to believe but the OL hasn't been the worst

The 2007 draft didn't require Reese to build an offensive line - he had a decent one already in place.

Reese also did his darnedest to make sure he didn't overpay for anybody, and in the process let a lot of his good draft picks leave in free agency. That combined with injuries meant that he always had a lot of holes to fill, which has really crippled this franchise over the years.
