NFT: Ah the drama in Washington

DC Gmen Fan : 10/11/2017 12:24 pm
not the Redskins this time - but the Nats.

Going with Tanner Roark tonight despite Strasburg being rested because Stras is "under the weather" Dusty Baker blames it on "mold in Chicago" and "air conditioning changes". Fans starting to question Stras stones seeing as Scherzer pitched on a tweaked hammy the other night.

Great back and forth between Rizzo (Nats GM) and the Junkies this morning.

If WAS loses tonight, this town will implode.

I literally just got an alert that said that Stras claims to be ready to go today. Maybe he's folding to the pressure?
I thought

I just read Strasburg is going to start.
Well then they changed their minds

The one thing that will help me deal with the Mets fucking mess of a season will be the Nats getting bounced in the DS yet again.
Today on the Junkies

Rizzo was adamant that Stras would not start because Roark was pitching great and they didn't like the way Stras was feeling.

Bowed to fan pressure maybe?
Even the Nats' website

has conflicting info
Is this a thing?

Mold in Chicago that make people sick??

Quote:
"A lot of my team is under the weather with the change of weather, and the air conditioning in the hotel, and the air conditioning here," he said. "It's just this time of the year for mold around Chicago -- I think it's mold. I mean, I have it, too."

I don't really care about the series one way or the other,

but if Strasburg starts and gets hit, then Roark comes in in relief and pitches well but it's too late, well, I'll be amused.
Implode?

I don't think enough people really care about baseball for the town to implode. Maybe a few people in Northern VA and Southern MD. It will give the Junkies a few days of programming too. Next week it will be forgotten.
I think people in Washington are used to teams failing

Between the Capitals and the Nats....they are getting quite used to it.
Looks like

I think DC expects them to lose.

The Nats’ pitching is the least of their problems, the hitting, except for one inning, has been terrible.
It’s been chaos here today haha

Of course now Grant and Danny are talking about how this could be straus big moment in history. Takes the mound sick and wins on the way to a World Series title. SMH. These idiots set themselves up for defeat so often it’s insanity.
This could be

the bloody sock for Nats fans. Maybe Stras goes out there with a box of tissues and k's 13 over 8.
