I am just losing any interest in the NFL.

I know I am getting old but these athletes just don't seem to understand the privilege they have in playing a boys game and getting paid insane amounts of money.

Grow up please DRC!

Yeah, I'm sure this whole national anthem issue is REALLY affecting you personally. Give me a break!

Obviously he tunes in before the game and stands with his hand over his heart and sings the anthem. It's a religious experience.
If I'm..

DRC and the team tells me I'm going to be inactive for leaving the bench, my first question would probably be, "So Jenkins will be inactive too?".

If that answer isn't "Yes", I'm probably going ballistic.
RE: Lots of good points here, but how can this not be Reese's fault now?

he grossly miscalculated 2013, drafts were horrendous from 2008 to 2013, not great aside from Beckham in 2014, TBD 2015-2017. The defensive drafts were so bad that he was forced to (and allowed by owners) to spend $200 million to fill the holes left behind. And that's just personnel.

Since the 2013 season ended, he has overseen the replacement of the Def Co, Off Co, OL Coach and Head Coach and here we are in the middle of potentially the worst Giants season since 1974s 2-12. When is it Reese's fault?

The only thing that is not Reese's fault is McAdoo, since he didn't hire him.

Now, assuming Reese is actually the GM and not Chris Mara, then yeah, it's his fault.

DRC: "Hell naw coach! That shit is ridiculous."

Worst thing is that it really doesn't matter whether

DRC stays or goes. This team is still playing out the string in week six.

Without DRC we have a better chance of making top 5 in the draft.
Can't believe

Who are you to say about my feelings about the anthem? I think it is tearing the league apart and is turning fans away.

I am not a veteran and I am not a black man. I am stating this as a person who would never go to work and use that same platform to disrespect others in order to get my point across especially while pissing off my customers. All these athletes have cell phones and instagram account and facebook pages and twitter where they can make a statement about their feelings on any issue, but to kneel at the national anthem and disrespect people who have lost life and limb is not cool.

Football use to bring people of all races and backgrounds together now it is splitting us apart.

Give it a rest. Just because YOU or whomever says it's disrespect doesn't make it true.

I really wish people would stop saying stupid shit like " its a privilege" as if these guys didn't train their entire lives for this. as if they were randomly selected off the street and did nothing to get there. And news flash, football wasn't invented for little kids. It was another version of Ruby constructed by MEN for MEN. if their money is insane what would you call the owners who pay them, money?

Did Mara and Tisch see in this guy? Not known as
An offensive wiz X and O genius. Not a crazy resume. His interview in that suit was almost comical. Giants always seemed to want a TC or Saban who had big time credentials or a presence.

They went w this clown.
It seems to me it was all about trying to emulate what the Packers do on offense and McAdoo was the guy who was available to do it.

Its a good question, what did they see? I think yes, they were trying to emulate the success of the Packers offense (which is kind of dumb if you consider that offense is really all about Aaron Rodgers who isn't anything like Eli). I also think they were looking for a Mike Tomlin type of hire - young and up and coming - didn't want a retread type. Big suit aside, I bet McAdoo interviews pretty well. He probably talked about heavy handed football and protecting the duke in all phases of complete complementary football and building a roster of fine young gentlemen (or whatever that was he said). McAdoo is a buzzword boss speak guy - all hat, no cattle.

My biggest gripe and confusion is obviously a his HC hire. I can see him doing well In the OC interview. The NFL is changing as well
As College and a more mobile QB based offense is in the future.
But after two years as the OC it's not like he as amazingly innovative. And taking over an offense w Eli is quite a big difference that what McVay is doing w Goff who was a green and a mess. I just don't see it. Didn't like the hire and he may be a great Guy but they will be lucky to win 4 games

Someone like TC gets some Slack for a few years and not get fired but I think if it really stays this bad he's got an almost impossible job even if the players don't totally revolt

McAdoo has lost the team - ala Ray Ha****y

Time to move on
Mara is committed to McAdoo
micky : 10/11/2017 6:02 pm : link
and Reese isn't going anywhere. they want continuity and Mara may find this as just bad luck or "down years

I wouldn't expect much if any changes. Mara will stay the course
There is a double standard on this team and it started with way this
joe48 : 10/11/2017 8:19 pm : link
Team has handled diva OBJ. His lack of respect for the coach, Mara and me first attitude becomes a problem when team is losing. Other players Apple, Collins and DRC speaking up when their play is questioned.

I'm told DRC came off after play on which he was hurt Sunday and threw his helmet on sideline in disgust. "More mad at himself," source said

yeah I remember seeing that. My take was that he was pissed off that he got hurt
