Sigh. Re-watched this today after the events. Seemed relevant.

Wish we could get back to this attitude as a team.

one thing we should all keep in mind. Parcells was promoted from within, just like MacAdoo, his first year was eerily similar to what MacAdoo is experiencing now.

but he was not brought in espousing a difernt philosophy from what the organiztion had. He and Perkins and Young were of the same mind of what kind of team they wanted to be.

there was always a dose of humor mixed in if you watch the video. Very subtle, you cannot fake that shit.

Then, the backdrop, the way the team was ran top to bottom including game strategy was very rational. So, everybody could see that, so...you are in or your out. See, Pats, New England, exhibit A.

Concept #1 was 'your not going to beat us.'

Not just the defense attitude, which was the mainstay, but also, holding on to the ball as much as possible, time of possession. That shows respect for your adversary, humility and common sense.
