Without knowing the fate of The Dobbie Brothers.
QB- If they're picking in the top 5, QB will be the pick. Hope and pray that a trade up is not necessary.
WR- Once again, we need a #2 to compliment OBJ.
RB- We need an upgrade.
OL- Please.
TE- Satisfied.
DL- JPP is toast, need to find another end.
LB- Please
S- Could use some help
CB- DRC is gone and Apple will play out his rookie contract. Need to find a starter.
P- Please
So, assuming we luck out and get our QB in round 1, it appears the focus with the draft continues with OL, WR,DE,CB,RB,LB in that order.
We won't have the cap space like we did going into last year when Reese was able to bring in some high priced impact players, but should have enough to still bring in some quality talent.
RB- Crowell
WR- Allen Robinson- This guy would be a fantastic #2 next to OBJ and believe he could be had on the cheap.
G- Trai Turner- $$
S- Chancellor, Jennings
CB- Trumane Johnson
Now, obviously, we can't sign all of these, but Turner and Robinson would boost this team's fortunes immediately. Seattle is looking to get younger, so perhaps Chancellor too.
First, they probably aren't cutting Vernon JPP and Jenkins. But if they wanted to they could cut Vernon, Harrison and Jenkins next year with cap savings. JPP in 2019.
Pugh is the main FA that needs to return and I would seriously consider him at RT. Richburg may need to walk and let Jones take over the center position. I hope a RG is priority next year in FA and a LT can be added to the mix either by draft or trade. Wheeler and Bisnowaty will have a year in and will fight for a starting spot.
The area of concern I have is LB. The only starter under contract is Goodson. Kennard, Casillas and Robinson all free agents. As average as they all are we need some good candidates to bring the athleticism to this group.
With DRC we would be looking for a CB anyway because of his age. It won't be 1st round but maybe 2nd.
Don't get me wrong, they need to fix stuff and add talent but it can be done
