Category. There is nooooobody I'm starting over Watson, not even Aaron Rodgers. You read that right.
I'll take the mocking from you non-believers. Last week I split the baby with the Watson-Russell Wilson decision, starting Watson in one league and Wilson in the other. I would've won in both leagues...if I just played Watson. He might have bad weeks ahead, so does everyone else, btw. But he has more 40 fantasy point games ahead, too, and I'm not going to risk missing out on the next one. Play your Matty Ice next week when the Texans are on bye.
I'm more interested in Ajayi's volume. 25 carries last week. Very few RBs are getting that volume. I've bought shares of Ajayi, as he is running hard. I like what I've seen from him, even if the O-line isn't giving him much help. His big days are coming though.

One league I've been starting him since the Patriots game (since it became apparent Ben has semi-retired).
The other league (where I also have Matt Ryan) I haven't fully switched yet.
I'll give Watson a shot there this week, the rushing clinches it, but still not easy to start him over Ryan at home.
RE: RE: got a couple of questions always try to go with gut bit need help
I don't think Allen is a bad option this week, just like the other guys a little better.
Not sure how you can trust Demaryius. With DRC out and against the Giants, it's a good matchup, especially considering McAdoo apparently is losing the team.
But Allen is getting significant touches. I want to play guys who are going to get the ball a lot, guaranteed. Allen is going to do that, especially with T. West out again this week, from the looks of it. For me it's West and Anderson.

Allen is getting significant touches, but he's not doing a whole lot with them. He's averaging 4.9 yards a catch and 3.5 per rush. I'd rather go with DT for a little more upside. Either way I think it's close.
I definitely think I killed the draft. A lot of talent.
It started with Allen Robinson going on IR.
Then, Dalvin Cook gets injured and out for the year. Because of Cook going down, I made a move to get Jay Ajayi, trading from my newfound deep receiving corps of OBJ, Diggs, Devante Parker, Sammy Watkins, and Pryor. I moved Watkins and Smallwood for Ajayi. Yes, it was a sweetheart deal.
Still feel good with the 4 remaining guys...OBJ, Diggs, Parker, and Pryor.
Then, OBJ goes out for the year. I now have 3 of the 5 left of my deep receiving corps. With Cook already occupying my IR spot, I felt compelled to move OBJ, and got a first rounder for him.
Now, just Diggs, Parker, and Pryor left. No matter, Parker and Pryor have already had their byes. But nooooo. Diggs is now battling a groin injury and not practicing, and Parker is battling a knee injury. It looks like Parker is trending doubtful, with Diggs trending probable.
But to make matters worse, my only rostered TE, Travis Kelce, has a concussion and has to clear the protocol to play on Sunday.
Here are my remaining guys I didn't mention, you tell me who I'm going to drop to pick up another TE to play:
DeShaun Watson, Jordan Howard, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Derrick Henry, Marlon Mack, Jerrick McKinnon, and Joe Mixon.
No, I can't drop any of those guys, not even Luck, because I'm going to turn him into a draft pick once he's playing again. So this is just great.
I'm thin at WR but I don't have anyone to really replace Amari Cooper, would you play Moncrief or take a stab over Mike Williams over him? Its PPR and Cooper has already cost me 2 losses alone by laying turds, is he done or does he rebound with Carr coming back against TEN?
At Flex, I am rolling with Riddick against NO, I picked up Mack this week, should i polay him instead? I kind of like Riddick's matchup better.
Any of you guys just need to vent? Let it all out.
I'm in another league I consider a "pro" league because it is full of seasoned, skilled, fantasy players. 12 team league and 2 keepers per year. I recently told you guys about a trade I made in which I acquired David Johnson, Houston DEF, Buck Allen, and Demaryius Thomas, plus a 6th rounder for a 8th or 9th (can't remember), Christian McCaffrey and A.J. Green.
I am 1-4 in that league, but even 7-7 has a chance to make the playoffs, and 8-6 has a good chance. I feel my team can finish 7-2 or even better. Here it is, 12-team, .5 PPR, and we get points for return yardage:
QB: DeShaun Watson, Matt Ryan
WR: Tyreek Hill, Jaron Brown, Martavis Bryant (just traded Corey Davis and my 7th rounder for him and a late rounder), Demaryius Thomas, Mike Williams (stash in deep leagues, btw).
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Buck Allen, Gio Bernard, Wayne Gallman, C.J. Prosise, and David Johnson (in IR spot).
TE: Hunter Henry, Evan Engram
K: Gano
DEF: Houston
The plan is that if I can go at least 2-2 in the next 4 weeks, there is a chance that I get David Johnson back for Thursday Night's game on November 9th in week 10. And whether I get him back that week, the next week, or even last week of November, I should have a team led by Watson, Zeke, and David Johnson...with Tyreek Hill and hopefully a resurgent Martavis Bryant. That is going to be an extremely tough team to defeat. I just need to sneak into the playoffs.
Am I deluded? Is this season already over for me? Or am I right that my team with Watson and Zeke leading the way is going to make noise? Only issue is no Zeke this week because of the bye.
My team just can't score, and it doesn't help that I have Rothlesberger who compiles negative stats. Anyway, what I am trying to say is, would you cut Rothlesberger and pick someone up off of waivers to replace him?
I am in a very tough spot. I don't have anyone I am comfortable with cutting loose to pick up a spot start QB. Curse of a keeper league. I don't have a backup to Rothlesberger, so would you drop him to pick someone else up? The options are:
C. Keenum
B. Bortles
B. Hoyer
J. Flacco
J. Goff
T. Siemian
What do you think? Any feedback would be appreciated.
if you want to know who will do well in fantasy football just ask me. It's whoever I'm going against.
I played against Brady in two leagues week 3 (5 TD's 375+ yards).
Last week I played against Wentz in two leagues. he had 4 TD's in the first half I think.
Week 1 I lost two leagues by a couple points and I had Mike Evans on the bench in both because of the hurricane. his replacements did little.
It's been that way all year with bad luck for me.
In two leagues out of the three I am in I have the most points for and most points against, netting out to .500 records (3 - 2 in one, 2 - 3 in the other).
on paper my team is by far the best, I have only lost when the team I play had it's highest score each week. And when I look back the losses I have - no bullshit - the team that beat me is the only teams I would have lost to in the whole league (IOW I lost to the weekly highest point total).
When you're in leagues with friends and they're trash talking, no one wants to hear this. LOL.
I'll take your flex first in standard or even a half-point PPR I'd say Mack all day long. But if you're in full-point PPR, go with Riddick. I think he's a safe play to get you around 9-12 fantasy points this week, and hopefully he gets in the end zone for you. But I have a feeling that Mack is about to take over that backfield. If you look like you are out-matched this week and want the risky, high upside play, go with Mack. The guy is lightning in a bottle, he can take it all the way anytime he touches the ball, and he's not a small running back, either. I really, really like him and if anybody reading this has Mack still on their free agency list, snatch him up.
To your first question, I realize how impossibly bad Amari Cooper has been. Really, really bad. Something is just weird about that Oakland team, too. But, I think you have to stick with Cooper for one more week. If that's not an option, play Moncrief. But I believe Cooper is going to rebound from this horrendous start, and you can't trust Williams or Moncrief. Moncrief is in the "dead to me" category.
My team just can't score, and it doesn't help that I have Rothlesberger who compiles negative stats. Anyway, what I am trying to say is, would you cut Rothlesberger and pick someone up off of waivers to replace him?

I would stick to Ben, play him this week, there is a point explosion coming. He is going to release some anger and frustration on some team real soon, and the weapons around him are just too good.
Yeah I have Freeman and Coleman as my other two RB's, Riddick against NO just seems like the safest matchup. I am projected to win, but its going to be a lot closer if Cooper lays another egg. He has already cost me 2 very close losses and I'm gonna fire sell him if he costs me another. I should be 4-1 instead of 2-3.
I like Mack a lot, but still want to see this team commit to giving him touches. Until I see it, I don't want to risk starting him. I have Mixon as well although on Bye, I am trying to through some trade proposals out there as I need more options at WR. Moncrief is dead until Luck returns, hope Williams takes off this week.

You know, that's an understandable vent, and I've been in that situation in a league this year, and I'll say this: I'd rather be in that situation than be 5-0 right now while being in the bottom half of the points scored column. And the reason why is because if I'm scoring a lot of points, I know it's just bad luck and only a matter of time until that luck turns and the wins start piling up. If you're 5-0 but you're in the bottom half in points scored like a buddy of mine, you're luck is also likely to turn soon. You need some luck in fantasy, but normally, skill overrides luck, and as long as you can keep that team together, you're going to be alright. Just get enough wins to make the playoffs.
CJ Anderson vs NYG
Jerick McKinnon vs. GB
Buck Allen vs. CHI
Chris Thompson vs. SF
Wayne Gallman @ DEN
Isiah Crowell @ HOU
Right now, I'm going with Anderson/McKinnon - but I think you could make a case for Allen if West is out. Kelley is also out for WSH, IIRC.. so Thompson could see more work.
Not really considering Crowell at all... closer to dropping him if he has another bad week.

Agree, it's frustrating to have a team with:
QB: Watson, Ben
RB: Freeman, Howard, Cohen, Mixon,
WR: Evans, M. Thomas, T. Hill, A. Cooper, W. Fuller, C. Kupp,
TE: Kelce
be 2 - 3
but if anything I'm improving my team. I'm close to a trade of Ben, Cohen, Cooper and a 4th round pick for Brady and Marlon Mack.
I then intend to flip Brady for solidifying my other spots.
CJ Anderson vs NYG

Yeah I think the only thing I'd really consider is Allen over McKinnon but I'm quite high on McKinnon and think now that there's a functional OL in MIN, he's going to be startable on a weekly basis.
Here's another question...
Rivers is the only QB I'm carrying in one of my leagues. Someone just dropped Luck, so I'm putting in a claim to stash him and take a shot on him potentially being back in a month or so.
I'd like to upgrade if possible and Carr is a FA.... whoever had him dropped him when he got hurt.
Should I drop Rivers for Carr or hang onto Rivers?
Rivers has been pretty consistent - he usually gets 20-25 pts per week. He just had one really dreadful week. But his floor and ceiling feel like they're really close together.
I don't know how much better Carr will be. Eli, Palmer, Taylor and Dalton are there too but I don't know if I really have much faith in any of them being any better.
Started 3-0 dominating the league with a stable of backs (Hunt, Cook, Hyde). No 3-2 and still in the lead due to pts. 12 team .5 ppr, 3 WR 2 RB and Flex.
So far I have lost:
Allen Robinson
Cook
Odell
Clay
Carr
Hyde is a big ?? Now also.
My team looks shitty and people are just not open to many trades in my shitty league, but trade ideas are welcome:
Care
Hilton
Theilen
Maclin
Mike William
Hunt
D Martin
Hyde
Aaron Jones
Smallwood
Perine
Derby
Z. Miller
A couple questions I can use some help on (I am projected to win by 15 pts):
Mike Williams over Maclin? I am leaning toward yes since I am projected to win by ~15.
Do I sit Hyde? If so is it Jones or Perine?
Who do I trade? I am PRAYING Hyde has a big week so I can move him, I know an injury is coming and I dont like the loadsharing BS going on with Berida.
Yeah I think the only thing I'd really consider is Allen over McKinnon but I'm quite high on McKinnon and think now that there's a functional OL in MIN, he's going to be startable on a weekly basis.

arc, I did the same as you. I have Siemian, but tempted to drop him as I don't think he is developing quite fast enough.
I am close to accepting this trade. I would be moving Funchess for Roelisberger and Sterling Shepherd.
I have Rivers currently and like the idea of buying Big Ben low. I also like Shepherds prospects down the stretch after the bye. I like Funchess but I feel I'm selling at his peak. My only hesitation is that I would most likely have to start Kearse, Decker or Smallwood until Shepherd returns healthy. I also own Mcaffrey and Stewart and want to diversify.
Thoughts?
Big Ben has kind of sucked. I'm not sure I would do that trade
especially considering how bad the Giants offense will be without Odell. Unless you think Ben is a great buy low, I'd start Rivers over him anyway until I see otherwise.
Have a question as well, here is my current roster in a .5 ppr league
Carr/Luck
Allen/Benjamin/Lee/Maclin
Ajayi/Gordon/McKinnon/L. Murray/Aaron Jones
Gronk/Engram
I want more WR depth - would you rather have McKinnon or Jones for the rest of the season, and how far apart do you think they are?
I'm thinking with McKinnon's value being real high right now I can offer him to a team with no solid RBs and a bunch of good WRs (T.Y., Demaryius, Evans, Pryor, Fuller). Does McKinnon for Hilton make sense?

Crowell is been a pain in my ass too this year. I'm sitting until he shows some sign of life. Of the other guys, I'd go with your gut with Anderson/McKinnon for sure. The Broncos are going to run all over us and the Packers aren't a scary matchup for McKinnon. Allen and Kelly have favorable match-ups but I wouldn't overthink it.

I would rather have McKinnon than Jones - but if I could get Hilton for McKinnon, I'd do it in a second. Hilton has two monster games in the last 3 weeks and is still producing in favorable matchups even with Brissett.
If Luck returns, it'll be an even bigger boost for his stock.
6pts/TD passing as well. Cam has had 2 stellar weeks and is up against Philly's weak secondary at home. Rodgers has been very good, and it's my gut instinct to start him.
I've also been offered Winston and Evans for Rodgers, which I'm semi considering. My other WR's are
Cooks
Landry
Tyrell Williams
Fuller
Wallace
RE: RE: Is anybody taking a shot on Perine this week?
If Kelley is out, I think Perine is probably your best best in that group.
Despite the fact that Thompson is easily the most talented back on the roster, he's undersized and Gruden doesn't want him plowing between the tackles because he'll wind up hurt.
IIRC, he had a pretty serious back surgery in college and has had injury issues in the past - so they don't want him getting walloped by defensive linemen and would rather keep him outside the hashmarks and in open space as often as possible.

I like that deal for you. Tough to part with Rodgers but I think the addition of Evans (even though he has been somewhat of a fantasy disappointment to this point) makes your overall team better. Just make sure, if he has two QBs, that he is giving you the better of the two in Winston.

Thanks. I was leaning this way because of what you said and the fact that SF is abysmal against the run.
would you guys start Cam or Alex Smith this week? Need to decide in the next couple hours obviously.
Smith has been great and it looks like Kelce is on track to play. Hill was a late addition to the injury report with a hamstring but it seems minor. Pittsburgh's pass defense numbers look pretty good but they've faced mediocre pass offenses for the most part.
Cam has looked way better the last two weeks and the Eagles give up a ton of points to the outside receivers. Benjamin and Funchess are both healthy.
RB w/.5 PPR: Duke Johnson (@ Hou) or Tevin Coleman (vs Mia)? Mack, Collins and Perine are available FAs.
DST: Steelers (@ KC) or Vikings (vs GB)? Both playing powerful offenses. No good FAs available (Bears, Bucs, Browns, Giants)
TE w/ .5 PPR: Martellus Bennett (@ GB) or Kyle Rudolph (vs Min)?
I'd play Duke @ RB. Miami run defense has been stout and Freeman is still getting more touches. Crowell has been horrible for CLE but Duke has been pretty consistent since they use him as a receiver a lot.
MIN D if you have to pick one of those.
I'd see what the news is on Diggs going into Sunday. If he sounds like he's going to be limited at all, I'd go with Rudolph. His role seemed a bit more expanded with Diggs at less than 100% vs. CHI.

Ajayi for me. He's been bad, but the ATL D gives up a ton of production (by design) to RBs. Don't like the matchup for Duke vs Houston.
I'll take the mocking from you non-believers. Last week I split the baby with the Watson-Russell Wilson decision, starting Watson in one league and Wilson in the other. I would've won in both leagues...if I just played Watson. He might have bad weeks ahead, so does everyone else, btw. I'm more interested in Ajayi's volume. 25 carries last week. Very few RBs are getting that volume. I've bought shares of Ajayi, as he is running hard. I like what I've seen from him, even if the O-line isn't giving him much help. His big days are coming though.

LOL.

I would stick to Ben, play him this week, there is a point explosion coming. He is going to release some anger and frustration on some team real soon, and the weapons around him are just too good.

I'd stick with who you have in there.
I am PRAYING Hyde has a big week so I can move him, I know an injury is coming and I dont like the loadsharing BS going on with Berida.

arc, I did the same as you. I have Siemian, but tempted to drop him as I don't think he is developing quite fast enough.
Thoughts?
Best of luck

I was leaning Mack until I read this twee this morning:

Pagano: Mack has missed some time so not ready to be an every down or third down back. Work in progress.

DST: Steelers (@ KC) or Vikings (vs GB)? Both playing powerful offenses. No good FAs available (Bears, Bucs, Browns, Giants)
TE w/ .5 PPR: Martellus Bennett (@ GB) or Kyle Rudolph (vs Min)?
Smith has been great and it looks like Kelce is on track to play. Hill was a late addition to the injury report with a hamstring but it seems minor. Pittsburgh's pass defense numbers look pretty good but they've faced mediocre pass offenses for the most part.
Cam has looked way better the last two weeks and the Eagles give up a ton of points to the outside receivers. Benjamin and Funchess are both healthy.
Thoughts?
Me too, especially the way he's been limited in practice with his shoulder. Cox and Allen are both back tonight too. Ugh.
Thanks. With Kelce getting a full practice in I feel better about it. And I've had the Eagles tear my heart out enough, no need to poke the bear.

CHI.
