Donte Deayon Promoted to 53-Man Roster

Eric from BBI : Admin : 10/12/2017 1:25 pm
Giants also sign CB to Practice Squad.

The Giants signed cornerback Brandon Dixon as a practice squad replacement for Deayon. Dixon, 5-11, 203, had eight solo tackles and an interception in 14 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014.

Dixon entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft choice of the Jets in 2014, from Northwest Missouri State. In addition to his stint with the Bucs, Dixon was in training camp with the New Orleans Saints in 2016, and has been on the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, who released him on Sept. 2.

I thought so.
I still can't believe what this season has become

I was so pumped this summer, expecting a SB type run, and now a month and a half later ...
I am finally feeling

like the change we saw coming a few years ago is actually now here. Think about it. The change from TC, regardless of the multiple posts the last few days here, was needed. Great coach, super great guy but the time had come. The team(s) did a lot of regular screw ups, even in our championship seasons. Once the losing part became the norm things had to change.

But, we didn't change, we just shifted people. Our QB, as great as he is and has been, still was here and all the head scratching moments that come with him. Our Oline was still bad and getting worse. Our GM was still here and all the oddity that is his team make up skills and many of the coaches some who had been here before and returned, were all still here....

To truly change, you have to change. You can't do the same thing and pretend it is change.

A new regime, a new QB and a new direction... Sometimes change is needed just to create a fresh feel but it can't be just washing and changing the sheets change. That is what last year feels like now. The Febreeze wore off and the old stench returned. We need a whole new furniture set to really feel good about the place again...
LOL, ................the Febreeze wore off ...............

You know DRC is gone I just hope they can trade him and get something in return this is such a pathetic situation I really hope that they make a coaching change during the bye week

The Giants always hire from within. The only time in recent history they haven't was Dan Reeves. Your next coach is likely to be Spags or Sullivan.

Whenever that change comes, they better let whoever it is pick their own coordinators and position coaches.
Take that DRC...

Will this game still be watchable after the first quarter?
We cant let McAdoo suspend a good player for a marginal one

He walked out on the team on Friday and then again on Sunday. He deserves to be suspended.

Also, we don't get a vote.
Deayon

can also return punts.
We might have seen this coming last year

An outstanding defense papered over a lot of faults this team had, starting with the OL. They never really beat anyone handily, and the only two playoff teams they beat were Detroit and Dallas.

They had a relatively easy schedule, got lucky with injuries, and won some close games they had no business winning. No, the chickens are coming home to roost.

I only hope this season leads to the clean sweep that is at least two years overdue.
He was great at making the tackle after his man caught the

ball. If he plays he may lead the team in tackles...all pro type numbers..
Donte Deayon actually had a good preseason
gogiants : 10/12/2017 10:47 pm : link
He played well in 3 of the 4 games. Through three games, Deayon has six tackles (four solo), two quarterback hits coming on corner blitzes, one interception, one pass defensed and one special teams assisted tackle. Through three games PFF gave him a 75.3 overall grade ranking 76th of 294 cornerbacks. He had two interceptions, one was negated by penalty and was yielding a 62.5 passer rating into his coverage. He got burnt for a TD in the last preseason game when matched up against 6-4 TE Jacob Hollister.
