On the Dottino radio report today, he was asked point blank whether or not he feels McAdoo will be let go at the end of the season.
His response was that it's "too early to say" but he brought up a point that is very relevant given the events with DRC the last few days. More than anything else, he said to focus on the team concept and whether or not McAdoo loses that and this locker room.
I know it's not earth shattering but of all the things we discuss here, the offense, playcalling, personnel, interaction with the media, etc. McAdoo's fate here is most likely in the hands of the guys remaining in that locker room.
Personally, I don't think that's the best way to evaluate the head coach because you can have seasons like 2013 where if you want, you can give a big salute to Coughlin for keeping that team "together" but the reality of that season is that they beat a few 2nd and 3rd string QBs in a row and started feeling better about themselves until they blew the only game that mattered against Dallas.
The evaluation should be taking place right now.
Why isnt/wasnt Justin Pugh considered a starting tackle on this team since the spring when we clearly had no better options?
Why is it taking so long for Flowers to develop fundamentals?
Why has Eli Apple (or while you're at it our entire defense) regressed this season?
Why are other teams talking about knowing what plays we will run?
Why are we 4th down happy in FG range with a new, young kicker with a big leg?
These are all issues that are more important than whether or not the team can pull a few moral victories out of its ass after throwing away a super bowl season.
Its obvious what our best offensive line combo is. How does Macadoo not?
Given that Pugh is our best tackle.
Pugh/That One Player[Jones]Fluker\Flowers
If you ask me, both of those things are happening in front of our eyes and its on McAdoo to reverse it.

if "he" loses the team/locker room.
DRC could be just the beginning of this mess, and if that is so, Ben might not make it through the season.

P-Dot is generally the most optimistic of all media types on teh beat, and more often than not, represents the organization take on events. I don't know whether this is by design (i.e. he is being fed info) or if he is just that optimisitc and that much of a fan. Regardless, when he answers "too soon to tell," I read that as there is actually a real chance McAdoo is let go if: (A) The team continues to lose and (B) if the loses the team/locker room.

Let's see how everyone responds to the adversity Sunday night.

Is it obvious, or did they play a bucs team with just one defensive lineman that really can impact the game vs a charger team with a pair of them?
He was. Started off at RT and had a really good rookie season. His second season wasn't good and then they moved him to guard.

Big test against what is a solid team.
We need to stop with this Pugh to LT stuff. It's a pipe dream. If Pugh could play LT they wouldn't have drafted Flowers.
That's because we also beat Dallas twice and knocked the skins out of the playoffs and beat philly. 4-2 in a good division. Also had some other quality wins. Last year is gone but it was real.
