He is not addressing out of fear. By now, everyone knows DRCs version events. He has not figured out a way to spin it to make himself look reasonable. DRC may have said some things to him that many players wanted to say and his answer truly was bullshit. He is probably afraid someone will bring it up in front of the team.
but unless there's something very different going on behind closed doors, this looks like the most chaotic things have been for this organization since the late 1990s.

2013? 2009? 2006? 2003?
2003 is applicable possibly, but those others, while disappointing, never really bordered on mutiny.

I'd be reluctant to just take the beat reporters at face value. For one thing, BMc has been short with them since day one, and the NY media is relentless when they smell blood in the water. For another, take a look at the linked article to see how often they suggested that the team was quitting on TC. The reality is, we don't know what is happening behind closed doors at Giants HQ.
Don't waste your time responding to every post like that. There are a lot of people here who put there faith and trust in Reese and McAdoo and got screwed and have to be embarrassed by this turn of events.
Benny Hill has yet to talk to a ref on a shitty call

2013? 2009? 2006? 2003?
2003, the team was fucking garbage and quit on Fassel. But I don't recall any of this added drama accompanying it.
2006, the Giants were a playoff team despite a ton of injuries and a second-half swoon. There was griping about Coughlin, but I don't recall anything similar to the DRC situation.
2009, the Giants quit in the last couple of games. I don't recall a lot of drama outside of Mara's postseason comments. However, those who want to point out a time where the team did quit on Coughlin can point to the end of that season.
2013 was a lot like this year in that the team had little talent and no offensive line. However, players still busted their asses through the season. The only drama I recall came once again at the end of the year when Mara made some stupid comments during his press conference.
This is really looking to me like the attitude/problems that plagued Reeves' late years and a couple of Fassel's early ones. I'm half-expecting players to be fighting their own teammates on the field Sunday night.
The chants for whoever to be fired, players half assing it on the field. The embarrassing questions from the media looking for blood making it worse. Let's not forget the coach on the sidelines with the look of wanting to be anywhere but their home stadium.
I'm always one to support the organization good or bad and sometimes to a fault. Unfortunately the Giants have been dysfunctional since 2013. Ownership, the GM/front office and head coach haven't been on the same page. It's time to get it fixed and done right
A lot of people here and in the media gave him shit
The worst of the Fassel era never dove into this level of chaos.
That simply isn't true. Let's take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?
A revolving door of QBs. Brown. Graham. Kanell. Neither of whom were worth a damn and ran an anemic offense until playcalling duties were taken away and Kerry Collins arrives.
Constant infighting between the offense and defense.
Teammates bickering in the press over contract disputes and holdouts.
Amani Toomer intimated how ill prepared the team was prior to the SB loss to the Ravens (post retirement).
I'd say he looked st this team but did he ever really have it in the first place?

LOst not looked
But still.....
Not addressing it only lets the rift of players vs
coach fester more.

Sometimes, you can tell a lot about a book by its cover.

The alleged philandering and sex boat stories.
There are many more but I'm tight on time.
and possible conversations stay personal
He hasn't told them why he was suspended. That's the whole point. They don't know.

that the players don't know why he was suspended. Not much to address.

Of course they know. And if you've ever managed people, you don't address disciplinary actions with the full team. Those stay 1:1.
