Yeah, that run near the goal line where he got crushed at the 1 is the type of hit you don't want your QB taking. It doesn't take many of those to get a guy hurt.

You're right a 2nd year QB that looks impressive vs. a 14th year QB on the way out wouldn't infer that the first team isn't more set going forward at the QB position.

I was clearly referring to the Eagles. Sorry, if that wasn't obvious.
I got it from the start. One team that has one super bowl appearance loss in 40 years and picked 2nd overall in the draft two years ago by virtue of sucking and finished last in 2016 too is more set at the qb position next 5 years thanks to picking high... than our guy around 13 years and has already won two super bowls.
As comparison Aaron Rodgers a 10 year starter has one title.

Am I missing any translation of your point?
Does it still sound rational to you?
Except for the fact that I never said which team has the better history or which QB will wind up 'better' or with the better resume. Just that the Eagles are more set at QB going into the future than the Giants are right now.
Pretty simple stuff.
RE: this Philly team is the least hateable in decades Â
Than Pittsburgh. Maybe New England too - Brady wasn't very good against Tampa.
This is fun. Who cares if the latter had 6 titles and picked late indrafts for a decade as a result, other teams that have sucked forever drafted well and might finally get their turn.

Yes, they are. That was my point. It's somewhat depressing that the Eagles, a division rival, have their QB for the next decade or so, and we do not. That's not a bash on Eli or even the front office. That's just father time.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with pointing that out. Holy moly.
That the eagles have a better record than us DURiNG the Eli era. The fact that we won two SBs and they didn't ... is luck.
Let's see if wentz is really a decade long pain in the ass ... or just another Chas Pennington. Or maybe we find our next franchise guy in a year.
Who knows - I'll take the two lucky runs (I'm not embarrassed to admit that, results are all that matter and they were incredible times) over what might be a few fun seasons for philly.
Hell as a Rangers hockey fan - they've had a good team for 12 years - 0 titles and one 5 game finals loss to show for it. At the end of the day, who cares - failure.
RE: this Philly team is the least hateable in decades Â
Quarterback nears the end of an era, other than the rare exception, like Montana to Young, Farve to Rogers, Manning to Luck, it is the norm to not be set at the quarterback position.
Actually though, Giants could end up in great shape. Next season they might find themselves with their franchise quarterback stlill playing well and two high draft pick quarterbacks in the wings.
when everyone was praising them for making "moves" to get draft picks. By the time Cleveland finds a decent QB all of these draft picks will have moved on.
With all of these draft picks, they are 0-5. Pathetic.
There certainly was an element of luck, like all runs. However, those runs weren't built with a foundation of luck. Those teams were mentally and physically tough, well coached, and maybe the most important part reliability, being able to just do your job, while having faith others would do theirs, total teamwork
I should qualify. I think our 2007 team was outstanding - there was luck in the sense that 3 of the games were won on the final drive (be it a D stop, or an offense comeback / 48 yarder in minus 25 degree windchill)... and over a larger sample size you're not going to win every game that way. But that team went toe-to-toe with teams a combined 45-6 and beat.
The 2011 team - the one that went 9-7, more often than not doesnt get a chance in a postseason but thankfully our division was shit - in the regular season gave up more points than it scored... and then in the playoffs recovered ALL 11 of its offensive fumbles during the run and benefited from a bad call on a Bradshaw forward progress in SF while benefiting from two 49ers ST fumbles in that game... yeah, there was lots of luck in that run.
So what - we still won.
My point was more an indictment of Reese and this shit front office that they've done a pretty piss poor job here for a long time now that we havent done better in the regular season during the Eli era than we have. So I'm not particularly worried about the next 10 years with Wentz in Philly when we've barely played .500 ball here the last 10 years...

You're kidding right.....that Tynes FG came after two other misses!! The Giants clearly were the better team that day.
I'd hardly call that 2007 run luck. The Tyree play....well, if you're gonna beat 16-0 you don't do it by being pedestrian.
The only "lucky" thing for 2011 was the division....but 9-7 is not that uncommon as it used to be for division winner. The ST fumbles were very fortunate, but the Bradshaw thing...cmon......that's Craig Carton BS.

Thank the clueless Mike tannenbaum. What a joke of a trade he made to take 2 over priced and under performing players off of their hands that they didn't want and swapping 1st round picks to put philly in the position to make a deal with Cleveland.
How much better would Miami be if they kept their pick and then traded up for wentz.
Mike tannenbaum has got to be one of the dumbest gm's in football and yes he is worse than Reese

You by far may be the worst poster on here. And that's saying something. Now after 22 games of his career- the eagles are set at QB for the next ten yrs? Maybe, maybe not but there's no freaking way you can accurately say that at this point. Ohh and the Giants have a QB at the end of his career. Oh thanks for the contribution. What would we do if you weren't here to let us know these facts. There is no point in saying that other than the fact you look for any excuse to bash Eli, whether straight forward or a passive aggressive way like this. It's so freaking clear what your dumb intentions really are. So as I said, it just gets real old.
Who? Cleveland or Philly? Wentz is much better than Prescott. Prescott got all the pub last year but to me Wentz looks like the real deal.
Not even close to being true....
The Browns?
KIzer has shown nothing to suggest that thus far.
