I like the Giants chances against the Broncos

Milton : 10/13/2017 8:19 am
This game is set up for the Giants to win. All the pressure is on Denver. The Giants defense redeems itself against a suspect Broncos OL and a QB who is no stranger to turnovers. And with not much film on them, the Giants young set of weapons (Gallman, Lewis, Randolph, Engram) catches the Broncos defense by surprise. I wonder if LaCosse will be active.

p.s.--BBI will have a nervous breakdown if the Giants win.

and why would the people who post on BBI have a nervous breakdown if the Giants win a game?
From an identity crisis. The shock to the system that comes from suddenly being forced to face a reality you didn't anticipate.

instead of 0-5 talk, that is what losers say to make themselves feel better. We are 0-5, playing in one of the toughest stadiums in the league. We are in full turmoil mode. The HC doesn't seem to have the players and honestly doesn't seem to have his coaches with him either.

It may be close early but once our D gets worn down it will be over. This game could easily be 31, 34 to 10 Denver.
Yes, the scores have been close in every game, but I don't know of one where I felt the Giants were in control of the outcome. Neither the O or D have imposed their will on any team this year. And on the O, the only player that scares anyone is OBJ, and he's on the DL.
Nah
PaulBlakeTSU : 10/13/2017 8:59 am : link
all the pressure is going to be on Eli. With our embarrassing offensive line in both phases of the game, our lack of running game, our lack of wide receivers, and the likelihood that we'll be behind, I'm worried Eli won't make it out in one piece.

Win no. . .

But I don't see the doors getting blown off either. This team is going to do one of two things....rally together or blow apart. If they rally...it will be closer than most think.

Part of me wants them to get destroyed for the entertainment value on BBI next week alone. And the Giants shitcanning McAdoo during the bye.
Win?

I'm not sure we'll score.
I'm with Tark on this one

Milton found a good stash this week - or maybe hashish brownies

I am going to make an equally bold statement -

There is no way the Giants win in Denver unless the Broncos sit all their starters and play with only backups - and I'm still on the fence if they can win that way

Maybe if Milton shares his brownies with the entire Bronco's roster -- that might work

I'll say it again, rally around DRC

There's no chance.....geez.......Denver barely needs their head in the game to beat the Giants and from the press I've been reading, the Broncos are not falling into the trap of taking the Giants lightly.....

THERE'S.

NO.

CHANCE.

where do you come up with thinking
djm : 10/13/2017 9:45 am : link
the pressure is all on denver and everything is setup for NYG to win?

The Giants are the very embodiment of a franchise that is succuming under the weight of heavy expectations and poor leadership. Denver is a well run franchise that knows what it needs to do to succeed. It has an identity. The Giants are literally the exact opposite. There is zero evidence to support any belief in the Giants beating a bad team let alone a good one in their stadium.

The Giants are going to lose on Sunday. Badly.
The only chance we
Stufftherun : 10/13/2017 9:52 am : link
find our way into the red zone is if Denver turns the ball over on a punt or off of a pick. Rosas kicks a 69 yard FG to avert a shutout ...How's that for a prediction?
Here you go...

What's funny is I fully expect the game to be quasi-close
jcn56 : 10/13/2017 10:00 am : link
The Broncos will just sort of plod around until they need to turn it on, and the game will look a lot closer than you'd think.
Just because I don't think they have a chance in hell at winning
mikeinbloomfield : 10/13/2017 10:02 am : link
doesn't mean I won't be thrilled if they do. It just lessens the disappointment if you go into watching a game with a realistic idea of the chances.

I don't see how the Giants score. Eli has no one to throw to, even if he gets time, and this patchwork OL is not going to be able to establish the run. If Denver hands them the ball deep in their own territory, maybe.

I think this is going to be similar to the Dallas game. If the defense plays well, they'll keep it close for a while, but Denver wins by 10 or 20.

there are 6 pro bowlers on defense
time for them to earn their paychecks

Other than that, not much else brewing on offense given the circumstances. Giants D may hold it within reason for 3 quarters
I live in Denver and watch almost every Broncos game
NYG07 : 10/13/2017 10:16 am : link
We moved here in 2012 and my now wife converted to a Broncos fan.

There is absolutely no chance in hell that the Giants win this game. The stadium will be rocking and the Denver defense will suffocate Eli and the Giants offense. Trevor Siemian is nothing special, but he will have a field day against a defense that has given up.

As much as I want to beat the Broncos, it is not happening.

Well, 5, since one of them is suspended.
I agree - I think our experienced WR Corp will run circles around
PatersonPlank : 10/13/2017 10:27 am : link
the lousy Denver secondary. Eli will have 5-6 seconds to throw, and his receivers will be wide open all night. Plus I'm sure MacHandley will throw in a few wrinkles that the Broncos aren't expecting, he always does right (I mean our offense is never predictable)?

if the defense was building on how they played last year, maybe....

Siemian, sucks when under pressure.....but we have not been able to create pressure.....I said before, this defense will make him look more like Elway, than Elway.....and he has two runners who can take it to the house....our linebackers will have to play close to LOS because of this, and with only Jenkins back there, he can't cover 3 guys......

As for the offense, we can't handle a simple defensive stunt.....this will finally be a game, where Eli shows his frustration with what he has to work with....

I think it is going to be ugly, and on national tv, no less...

If the Giants pulled this game out, no one on BBI would be happier....it could happen.....but not in my wildest dream....
I'm going the opposite way of the first two posts on this thread.

1. The Giants are going to be big losers Sunday night.
2. There is a 50/50 possibility that Eli Manning will be killed during this game. Next man up!
When they get to 28-0 or 35-0
Bluesbreaker : 10/13/2017 10:39 pm : link
Pull Eli let Geno mop up hell give Webb a series or two .
Maybe the Bronkos come out sleep walking and he get a fluke
TD after that it's gonna be an epic beat down After 2 or 3
three and outs the already disgruntled Defense will be even
more undisciplined 6. Someone might shoot for an ejection
just to get out of the game .
Denver's pass defense is as good as there is I am sure were
gonna pull a few gimmicks out early try to catch them napping but I doubt that very much were a wounded half dead dog they will come out swarming I could see us getting shut out .I just don't want Eli out there getting lit up when the game is out of hand . No sense in padding your stats in a negative way .

breakdown is a few years of AI development away.

and why would the people who post on BBI have a nervous breakdown if the Giants win a game? Not sure I follow that.

Sure, most people have probably resigned themselves to the fact this season is over and losing in the long run is probably better than winning, but I don't usually see fans rooting for losses, it's more accepting them at this point than rooting for them (for me at least).
good job

in fact rooting for the highest draft position possible, it was good to see Sullivan actually call a good game...a further indictment on McAdoo. The line looked Actually, GOOD for once. And against a damn good D in a tough away spot I just hope they dont win next week against Seattle. Play hard, but dont win.
Thanks, everyone...
