There are 11 games left and a lot of football to be played, but with what happened last night, Philadelphia is looking like one of the best teams in the NFL right now. Dallas or Washington, I suppose could surge, but with that Philly front 7, unless they get seriously banged up, I think they will go to the championship game.
Elsewhere, it looks like Green Bay is the class of the North.
Nobody out West looks like much except for maybe Seattle, but their O Line looks suspect. I think LA Rams are a season or 2 away.
Atlanta has tons of talent and after last year, are playing with a purpose, but how do you lose to Buffalo? That loss may be an anomaly, but Buffalo is very good.
Right now I see it as GB vs Philly, and if GB gets home field, I'd give it to GB. If Philly gets home field, it's a toss up
Its still fairly early - health and momentum always alter trajectories... Dallas and Washington could still win the east. I think Detroit still has a pretty good team too. Atlanta lost to Buffalo because Jones and Sanu both got hurt. They'll be in the mix again, though Matt Ryan does seem to have regressed back to pre-2016 form again.
Philly
GB
ATL
Sea
WC to Lions
the 6th one up for grabs.
AFC seems interesting also, at least for now.
They need to be careful with Wentz and how he plays...he's going to get hurt if he continues to fight for every yard.
They're also getting terrific special teams (esp their place kicker) and last night turnovers decided that game - 2 scores consisting of drives less than 20 yards.
Injuries will play a major factor, as always.
Great post and this describes how I feel exactly. I used to watch NYG + 2 or 3 other games every week SNF, MNF, TNF. Still still watch Gmen but nothing else unless its already on somewhere I am. Nothing to do with the anthem protests just does not really look like real football anymore more like a reality show sports hybrid.
