What’s the players union have to say about DRC suspension?

trueblueinpw : 10/13/2017 11:56 am
I don’t understand how DRC can be suspended without pay. If he’s being suspended for conduct unbecoming or detrimental to the team, wouldn’t he easily argue the punishment is both arbitrary and execsive? It’s arbitrary in that others have done the same thing and gone unpunished (Jackrabbit) and worse (OBJ dog piss) also without punishment. Didn’t the players union go to bat for Brady and Zeke when the league suspends them after extensive investigations? Will the players union take up DRCs case and would anyone know if he’s likely to win back his lost income?
He left the team three times

Beckham pretending to be a dog pissing after a touchdown is worse than DRC leaving the field/team because he's mad?

Holy fuck. Make it stop.

Excessive celebration vs refusing to finish the game? Are you crazy?
DRC quit on his team

What is so hard to understand?

Have you ever been part of a team? Have you ever even coached?

The most important characteristics of athletes are the attitude they bring to the field and the effort in which they play. Those are the only things anyone can control. DRC has shown a bad attitude which will effect his effort.

I do think it is about time that McAdoo take some control of the team, although it may be too little too late.
Whoa...

All above, please:

1. Relax and try the decaf.

2. Understand, I’m not arguing for or against DRC. I’m asking if DRC is protected from losing income by the union’s CBA and if so how likely is it the NFL players union will take up this case for DRC?

I think I read that if a player is suspended for more than 4 games the NFLPA gets involved. Not 100% sure on that though.

are what is allowed in the CBA. If they are violating the CBA, then the NFLPA will get involved.

Hard to imagine it’s so cut n dry. League suspensions are routinely applealed and almost always knocked down. Are you certain it won’t be challenged or are you just speculating? I can’t imagine there isn’t some mechanism for the player to appeal but maybe you’re right about the CBA.
