The game this Sunday

BleedBlue : 10/13/2017 3:32 pm
maybe i am just disgusted, but is anyone else going to have a VERY hard time turning the game on this Sunday? I mean, I am a football fan, but is it really worth watching the game? all we are gonna see is Eli running for his life and taking sacks. we have no WRs to speak of, a shitty OL, and with all the injuries we have who knows how bad we get blown out. For the first time in a long time, I dont even have a desire to watch the damn game.
anyone else plan to do something else?

had a few horrible stinkers in Denver over the years.
nah, i'll watch every snap of every game

at this point in a season like this, I don't care so much for wins and losses as much as I do about player development. who's still playing hard even though they have nothing to play for besides their teammates and pride? who's still competing? what young guys are showing they want to be part of the solution?

maybe it's my age, but it's a lot more watching objectively and less watching passionately in a season like this one...
I'm getting

a weird feeling we'll win.

My enthusiasm obviously has waned, to say the least, but it's Giants football. They play, I watch.

I ll watch.

I m really tired of posts that come to a Giants football board to tell us they hate football or won t watch. They are a depressing crowd.

The Giants went to Denver in , what was it 1998 ?

If I remember correctly , the Broncos were 13-0 at the time and no one gave us a chance .

Danny Kanell was out QB and we pretty much stunk .

Remember who won that game ?

Just sayin' .

Was our place, and it was Kent Graham.

I'll have no problem watching. For me, the coach is being evaluated across the board, on preparation, play calling, and how the players respond.
I stand corrected
53inCanton : 10/13/2017 4:02 pm : link
about the QB and location . Thanks .

Memory ain't what it used to be .

But we still did beat the 13-0 Broncos with a very mediocre team .
Because it's a Sunday night

game I'll definitely watch it. If it was a beautiful Fall Sunday afternoon game I probably wouldn't. Much rather take a hike or kayak down the Moose River up by my camp.
ill watch the

first hour or so switch over to the Deuce on HBO, check the score again at 10 and go to bed. I put all my ny gear way today. Season is over for me.

I've watched every Giants game from start to finish since 1956 when we got our first TV, and I'm not going to stop watching now.

In a way, it's more interesting to watch the Giants when they're this bad (as opposed to being a 8-8 team) because, as others have said, we can see who wants to play and who doesn't; who shows promise for the future and who doesn't; and what changes, if any, the coaching staff is willing to make in game planning.

And am I the only one here who would rather see the team go 0-16 than 4-12? Does that disqualify me as being a true fan? (I don't think so)
Regardless of the score, regardless of which players are on the

field, I will be watching intently as I usually do. I may be angry with a particular player and or the team at a given time but I still watch and hope for the best
I wait all year for football season
VTDAD : 10/13/2017 5:02 pm : link
and I watch every Giants game to the (bitter?) end.

And this year, I won't be disappointed when they lose, as each defeat brings us closer to a re-build and a top pick.

I just hope Eli lives to play for another year or two.

Didn t mean it personally. I get why you want them to lose. I'm half way there.

Just one to many posts about how lousy football is I guess.

My bad
No, it will be easy turning the game on
pjcas18 : 10/13/2017 5:04 pm : link
I just push the button on the remote and press the channel buttons. It's easy. Send me your email address I can write up a few easy steps and email them to you and you won't have a hard time turning the game on either.

Stopped paying attention a couple of weeks ago

Lost interest due to player protesting the during national anthem. NFL is losing fans because people like me do not want to mix politics with their sports. I am a vet and kneeling during the anthem rubs me the wrong way. This whole thing is media driven, All lives matter!!

I only watched the Cowboys and Lions games in full.
Mr. Bungle : 10/13/2017 5:21 pm : link
I completely skipped the Bucs and Eagles games and only watched bits of the Chargers game because I put those three Sunday afternoons to far better use.

I'll probably put this Broncos game on because it's in prime-time, and because this team has become such a hilarious shitshow, it could actually be entertaining to see just how bad it gets.
I will watch

I will never want my team to lose. While I think a housecleaning is necessary and a high draft pick would be nice, I want the Giants to beat Denver Sunday night. My grandson and I will watch the game together, both of us cheering on our Giants. If they lose, so be it. But we want them to win.
As a Giant fan,

I think we are masochists at heart....watching a game you know your team is going to lose? Such is the life of a Giant fan that lived through the Dark ages of the mid 60's into the 80's.....

Being a Sunday night, I'll watch it....but if it were a Sunday afternoon game, I would dvd it.....then when I had absolutely nothing to do, and Golden Girls was not on(turn off sarcasm), I would probably watch it....
Crystal Palace fan here. I'm an optimist.
CT Charlie : 10/15/2017 1:48 am : link
For those of you who don't know, Crystal Palace began their British Premier League season with 7 straight losses, and they were the first team in the history of English professional soccer (at any level) to start the season without scoring a goal in 7 games. Today they hosted last year's league champions, Chelsea, and won 2-1, in what most writers called a deserved victory. On any given Saturday? On any given Sunday...
I don't think we'll win
BlackLight : 10/15/2017 2:21 am : link
but I wouldn't be surprised if we turn in another "just played well enough to barely lose" performance.
