and goes the other way like Correa did, they won't hit and run, they won't bunt, they won't steal on McCann and his formidable 29% CS%. All the do is swing for the fences. You play in the playoffs the way you play in the regular season

That's the computer's ball to strike ratio when I play MLB The Show and I swing at almost everything. Yep, that sounds like the Yankees offense right now.
Two runs in 18 innings.
bceagle05 : 10/14/2017 7:00 pm : link
Brutal.

MookGiants : 10/14/2017 7:11 pm : link

Crushing loss
illmatic : 10/14/2017 7:12 pm : link
They're awful at the plate and Sanchez is awful in the field. You have to make that play.
Whelp back to NY
B in ALB : 10/14/2017 7:12 pm : link
Astros are beatable.
I mean.. Sanchez has to make that play
DennyInDenville : 10/14/2017 7:13 pm : link

B in ALB : 10/14/2017 7:14 pm : link
Absolutely dog shit tonight.

Two 2-1 games. Fucking brutal.
How does he not catch that?
short lease : 10/14/2017 7:14 pm : link
The guy is out by a mile at the plate if he catches the ball.

Wow ....
if you're gonna be this horrible at the plate
LG in NYC : 10/14/2017 7:15 pm : link
at least do your job behind it
Sanchez
Percy : 10/14/2017 7:15 pm : link
Not an error on that failure to handle the ball at the end?
If you're going to be upset with anyone on that play,
shockeyisthebest8056 : 10/14/2017 7:15 pm : link
it should be the person who didn't hit the cut-off man.
it wasn't
MookGiants : 10/14/2017 7:15 pm : link
the easiest throw to handle, a really short hop and he's trying to grab it quick and turn around.

Still should have had it.

Still no idea how thats not interference, Didi got nothing on the throw as a result
It was a perfect throw by didi
jlukes : 10/14/2017 7:16 pm : link
Didn't even short hop Sanchez, all Sanchez had to do was close the glove on the ball and make a relatively easy tag
Sanchez is brutal defensively.
Jim in Hoboken : 10/14/2017 7:16 pm : link
And Girardi can’t let Altuve and Correa beat us. Other teams know to throw Judge nothing but breaking balls outside the zone but we are throwing Altuve first ball fastballs every freaking AB.

Just brutal.
Tip your hat to Verlander
Matt in SGS : 10/14/2017 7:16 pm : link
Hinch told the world his pen is an abortion too. If Judge and Sanchez don't swing at balls 3 feet outside, the Yankees will bomb the shit out of them in Game 3. Frustrating as hell. Yankees will get their pound of flesh though in the Bronx. It's going back to Houston.

Did it short hop? I thought it hit Sanchez's glove on a fly

He threw WAY more pitches out of the zone than that. I think I might scream if these guys continue to look at strikes, then swing at balls.

It wasn't a perfect throw. If it was, he wouldn't have dropped it.
again
GentleGiant : 10/14/2017 7:18 pm : link
there on two guys on this entire team that can hurt you.
man thats 7 and a half hours of tough baseball to watch
Stu11 : 10/14/2017 7:19 pm : link
if you're a Yanks fan. This team is to classy for its own good. Didi has to be selling that call you'll never get it otherwise. Of course Sanchez has to catch a throw and tag a guy but if Did is selling that he's got a shot to get it. You know the Stro's would have been.
Sanchez needs to improve his defense or the Yanks should
Jim in Hoboken : 10/14/2017 7:20 pm : link
really think about moving off catcher. I don’t care how much of an advantage his offense is at the position.
