"I'm a competitor, and I don't want to go out like that," Marshall told ESPN this weekend. "I'm definitely not going out like that."
Giants' Brandon Marshall: 'I don't want to go out like that' - ( New Window )

Guys get beat up. I love this guy hope he makes it back in a. It way.
The Giants need to adjust their expectations with him.....
Simms11 : 10/15/2017 10:38 am : link
He’s not the same player he was 2 years ago. He’s got nice height and should be used more around the goal line. I’m sure he’ll be brought back to compete and so perhaps the Giants look to bring in another tall receiver or give Powe an opportunity to compete with him. Does he make the team next year? Well, I think that’ll be up to him.
I am surprised he could lay on his back,
Doomster : 10/15/2017 10:44 am : link
unless of course they removed that fork, first....

The guy is done.....Cruz caught a better deep ball than this guy did....no separation....no chemistry with Eli....I don't want him back...
Think they can
bc4life : 10/15/2017 10:47 am : link
match his hoped for production through TEs.

The catch Marshall made when he got hurt and the catch against Tampa make your take on him wrong in my eyes.

Cruz was done
next time some fan on this board

who sits his fat ass on a couch all day bitches about why a player is not playing injured. Someone post this pic.
Joe,

he didn't make the catch when he got hurt....

Cruz was better last year, than Marshall was this year...there was no freakin' upgrade...
Last year when they realized
Gman11 : 10/15/2017 11:54 am : link
that Cruz had nothing left they gave him a lot less playing time. I wonder how long it would have taken for them to do that with Marshall.
Marshall isn’t done
Rflairr : 10/15/2017 11:57 am : link
We know this clown calling the plays has no clue how to use his weapons, so I wouldn’t base anything off of the little we saw of Marshall
The Giants had, before the injures, a lot of really good wr's, tall
SterlingArcher : 10/15/2017 12:36 pm : link
wr's, big TE's so their option at the goal line was to run up the middle with one of the worst olines in the league or throw a low percentage fade route. My DI always told us to use the best weapon we have, something the enemy would not expect, maybe McAdoo should try that philosophy.

They were both awful. Cruz provided nothing too. He had two useful catches all of last year. Total splitting of rotten hairs.
Best

wishes on a full and speedy recovery Brandon.
problem with his signing
mdc1 : 10/15/2017 12:46 pm : link
is that is the typical arrogance of Reese and those around him thinking they just need some specialty player to tweak it to the next level, while ignoring a rotting foundation.
Terrible signing.

Hope he's not a Giant next year.

Well said Rory! Some of these nacho eating, coach potato, blowhards are insufferable hypocritical drama queens who prabably are paralyzed by a paper cut.

Just obese fantasy super heros with no direction and clue of reality.
Wish him well

Unfortunately there is no surgery for mediocre hands.
You are missing my point...

Yes, Cruz was bad last year.....I'm not saying he wasn't....what I'm saying is, Marshall was worse than Cruz was last year....with no OBj in the first game, and we really needed Marshall, he was absolutely useless....And then the big drop the next week? The guy was done....hard to believe the Giants could not see this, and signed him.....
Sorry Brandon...
Giant John : 10/15/2017 2:48 pm : link
Everything comes to an end. Your end is now. Good luck.
I think we should have been targeting him only
CT Charlie : 10/15/2017 4:04 pm : link
in 10-yard move-the-chains downs near the goal line. Nowhere else. He didn't seem to have the stamina for regular work, and he wasn't getting much separation -- perhaps because of it. For the money we paid, I'd like to see him used selectively next year.

I'm not missing the point. I'm saying both were so useless it's completely meaningless to debate which one was worse.
You people are just great at saying whatever you would like to be true

without doing any troublesome checking to see if what you say is true.

Cruz played well when he had the ball thrown to him. The most Cruz was targeted in the first half of the season was nine once and eight twice. He caught 14 of the 25 with a long of 29. In the next to last game of the season he was finally targeted in double digits, 13, and responded with 8 catches.

Cruz caught seven passes of 29 yards or more, with three of them 40+ yard bombs.

He didn't not get thrown to because he wasn't open. Eli rarely had time to check down further than target #1, who was Beckham. Beckham was double or triple covered, but being Beckham he still caught of lot of those balls.

Cruz wasn't as good as his former self, but he was as good as Manningham or Randle.

No he was not.
I really liked Cruz and yes he made a couple of really clutch catches his last year but he also dropped some other ones that were every bit as important. He had zero separation and it was obvious he had lost a couple of steps
The Manningham that tried to make a comeback here, after he blew

out his knee in SFO?

Cruz might have been better than that version. Probably. Maybe.
WTF?
