Night game, in Denver, Invesco (nee Sports Authority) Field.
I don't actually remember much about that game but the result and the Shaun Williams hit on McCaffrey. Because of what came next. And we were never the same again.
Was still living at my parents, we had post SuperBowl season slump written all over that team.We couldn't stop them on D and I don't think Kerry had a good game.Ed McCaffery getting his leg broken badly on a monster hit. Went to bed pissed off and showed up at our office early the next morning in a foul mood.
had the 90 yard punt that was awesome to see. I found a youtube clip of it. Link - ( New Window )
The Rodney Williams punt always bugs me. Because when I see it, I can't help but remember that Randall Cunningham (of all people) had a punt against us that went even farther.
I remember walking out of my hotel in Denver around 9:30 AM
And seeing 30+ people staring at the TV in the lobby with no one saying anything. I was there on a Job site and went to the game the night before. My Hotel was a couple of miles away from many of the BBWC posters who stayed where the team was staying in the Tech Center.
I met a few of BBWC users who migrated to BBI that week. It still is an eerie feeling to this day
I was thinking about how the Giants were coming off the SB loss, how we were opening the new stadium in Denver, and how pissed I was about the loss. I kept thinking about the holds the Denver OL got away with.
I was living in Colorado at the time and hosted a party at my house with a bunch of Denver fans. Was feeling sorry for myself all night - rewatched the game in the morning and when it was over, remembered there are things in life far more important that football.
