... I don't believe teams expected any OL to be capable of playing straight up against LT. I don't believe that was ever the game plan of any team that played LT and the Giants.

You'd have to pull the OG like the 49ers did with Randy Cross

to try to negate his pass rush ability. Otherwise, no OT could handle his combinations of speed and strength.

1. OT play has declined league-wide recently, and;
2. LT routinely clown-suited HOF OTs of his day.
